So what is the counter to tracking disrupters (besides fit tracking computers)

Missiles and drones are the traditional answer.

Neuts can do the job too. Smartbombs have been known to have a situational advantage there to.

Or of course you could just blob till they die.

Now if you insist on using turrets...

Good piloting can help - if you reduce transversal and keep the target in range of your guns you'll still hit your target.

To a lesser extent - change ammo type can help a little, depending on the weapon platform.

Getting close to a target and webbing it will make the fact that your tracking/range is decreased pretty pointless.
Tracking enhancers can work just as well as traking computers, but you'll need to stack them.
Also, missiles/drones as the above person said.

Ok so the answer to counter TD is close combat (with turrets)

Everyone knows about missiles and speed, as well as the mods. I wanted to find out if there is anything else other then the obvious.

If you're thinking along the lines of how ECCM can counter/mitigate against ECM, then there is no counter to TDs. Burning towards the target and hoping your tank will last long enough to apply DPS is your best hope.

Considering what counters the Frogs will bring to your next Thrasher roam? :)

There's always a counter to a tactic and then a counter to that counter.

Tracking mods/rigs is the obvious answer, but the one that really makes a difference is manual piloting .. close if range inhibited and minimize transversal if tracking inhibited.

TD's are currently one of the most effective eWar types due to hybrids/projectiles being the black and FoTM monkeys having limited experience with fighting under the influence.

This.

It is also pretty funny when they get pissed and use it on you, only to always be using the wrong script.

Target painters also work to a degree to combat TDs, against tracking speed disruption. That would be straight-up EWAR countering EWAR.

Heh. Winmatar is still dominant but I seeing a lot of blaster/rail boats around now .. especially the recently buffed dessies and AF's.

Aye, Rooks are probably the best when it comes to absolute effectiveness .. but you'll get a fraction of the fights as ECM is broken enough to make people go elsewhere when it rears its ugly deformed head.
TD's, especially on non-dedicated boats (Curse gets no fights either Smile), on the other hand lets nothing escape/run-for-the-hills as it isn't recognized by the previously mentioned FoTM monkeys before its too late.
