Keep Chribba Out of the Poor House Initiative!

[18:40:25] Freylock > Chribba, just out of curiosity, are your websites self sustaining? as in, you get enough donations to cover the costs?

[18:40:50] Chribba > and the ads don't make up the cost

This, my friends, will not stand.
To make matters worse: he doesn't even have a donation page.

I hereby propose a most glorious initiative: Keep Chribba Out of the Poor House!

As I see it, there are two options:
A) Throw money at him.
B) Nag him until he puts up a donation page.

I have heard that the poor houses of New Eden are devoid of Veldspar and I shudder to think of such a noble soul reduced to such destitution.

Our goal is clear.
Make it happen.

Indeed, he has stated that it's not about the money.
However, the fact remains: he's providing a tremendous amount of value for free -- the least we can do is provide a token of support.
If you agree, awesome.
If you feel otherwise, well that's cool too.

I thought that Chribba's EVE related services are part of his portfolio. I.E. he makes websites for a living, and he uses his EVE-related services as an example of the work he does.

Thats googles wicked way of "we like this but not this." They do not want "adult" sites to have their advertising but they have whatsoever no problem promoting gold farmers, isk sellers and what not, that are directly related to sweat shops, key loggers and credit card fraud.

Double standards? Google? Neh!

TLDR: advertising is controlled by giggle not Chribba.

Veldspar does not pay the bills, it seems.


Some of the dumbest people I ever met still managed to use PayPal links on their website to raise money for projects or legal defense (over avoidable matters - I did say dumb). So it should not be difficult to put one up.

If enough ISK does not come in to plex the accounts at least, and offset overall expenses, this would be sad, but aside from asking for $$, what other solution could there be?

Also, whatever happened to that licensing thing CCP wanted to do whereby you would have to pay them money for a license for anything EvE-related you create and profit from?

Well are your ads click based or just straight dollar for space based? If they are that chribba gets paid per click on the ads then its easy to make his sites pay for themselves.... just fooking click on da ad links!!!

If everyone would go there and click links while surfing for porn or when your already in a PI clickfest itd go fast. Youd be doing the "Chribba bump and grind".Lol

Then just have Chribba let people know which ads pay the most to click and click whore them til theres no tomorrow. Money issue solved. We did this with FrugalsWorld.com when it was still operational to help Mark out to pay for it. Was easier than donations and didnt cost anyone anything.
