I got scammed by something similar to this, and I should have known better

I made the EVE mistake of thinking that someone I talked to online out of character would use a different personal standard of trust than what people use in game

Once I talk online with someone and inquire about the type of work they do etc, I expect a level of trust that I would in a public park where if I asked someone to watch my lunch bag while i went to the bathroom that they wouldn't steal it.


but alas, some people don't have those morals, or don't believe that talking about out of game things creates a burden of trust for ingame stuff.

That asside:


I want to buy voice services using isk.

I want to buy them from someone with a track record of serving other corporations.

where I went wrong last time was not realizing that the person was using a temporary free interenet site to market things:

is this a free site he is using ? can anyone tell ? if it is owned by a real person, and not set up using a free joomla promotion site thats a good step in the right direction.

when he(the other person) set up voice coms, he set up a new server for me, probably using a trial public site run by teamspeak or something

- i requested speaking to him in the lobby of a corporation with a few dozen people online... i've gotnein other voice coms frequently for war actions... everyone knows there are spys etc and the lobby is used for that .. or for interviews...maybe a few don't do that, but if a person selling these resources is the exception not the norm that should be a BIG warning flag.

All that being said, I'd love to hear from some people in thread who've been in game for years with longer corp history and in larger (or moderate sized) present corporations that use the services.

Yo Keil, you might want to remove the advert for evegfx. I think he has vanished for a while.

Hired evegfx a month ago and he went MIA damn near straight after (900mil blown, damn lol). Don't think he has been back online since. Know any others that can revamp the site? lol
