Asteroids and system security level

I know that the lower the security level the jucier the asteroids. What I am wondering is whether this is taken to the decimal point or is rounded. In other words, is a 5.51 system better than a 6.49 one or are they both rounded to 6.0 for asteroid generation purposes?

I think what our mono sylibraic friend is trying to say is, "no they don;t take that into account"... though in fairness this chart is not the official word of the subject.

Sorry, I may not have been clear. I'm looking at the effects on a more micro level. I've found that while .5 systems and .7 systems both have Pyroxers (in the right region), the .5 systems tend to have more of the better (+5%,+10%) roids and bigger roids than those found in .7. So I'm wondering whether the differentiation is just .5, .6, .7 or whether it extends down to the true system ratings such as .551 and .649.

Sorry, was posting at same time as Barbara. So as far as you can tell they play with roids at the rounded levels. Thanks!

Yes, truesec comes into play with ore distribution.
For example, there are a handful of 0.5 systems that have 0.4 ore in them because their truesec is actually 0.49 or thereabout.
I'm not sure if 0.5 systems necessarily have better ore than 0.7 with regards to the +5 and +10% variants though.

Incorrect.

Truesec DOES apply to distribution. BUT..........some systems do have Truesec of say .451, but they are indeed rounded up to .5 and therefore are considered a High Sec System with appropriate ores. A system must be below .45 to round down to .4 and be a Low Sec System with appropriate ores in addition to the High Sec ores.

You will NEVER find low sec ores in normal belts in any .5 system even if it is Truesec .45.

You WILL find Low Sec Ores (Jaspet, Hemorphite, and Hedbergite) in some Gravimetric Sites in High Sec. I usually find 2 or 3 a day. They can also be found inside some Level 4 Combat Missions in High Sec, so 'man-up' and run Combat Missions to Level 4.

I have not even had time to bother mining a regular belt in months.

You'll also find that the "juicier asteroirds of lowsec" tend to be of less value than those in highsec.

It's not until you get to 0.0 or some of the better exploration belts in (in lowsec) that you'll find 'roids of a better isk/hour.

If you want the better highsec belts then find a system that doesn't have a station in it. You'll find that very few folk bother to mine these so they will have more full sized rocks.

VERY true. And Ice mining is a bit safer too, as botting doesn't really work without a station (lol), so Ice Miners are usually legit and tanked up a bit, so fewer ganking attempts. Hadji in Genesis Region is excellent example http://evemaps.dotlan.net/map/Genesis/Hadji

You will find that in 0.0 trit and and the lower end ores, the roids dont even last a cycle in belts, where as the rearer ores last longer, then you are looking for system upgrades (industry index) to find hidden sites where the amount of ore in each roid can be plentiful depending on what hidden belt you are in.

The bolded part above makes absolutely ZERO sense. Can you please clarify your statement ?
