This is why CCP should nerf the Tengu.

Just watched the first fight so far:

I can (and have) done that and more in a drake. The main problem there are blaster boats sucking, not the tengu being OP.

EDIT: And later on, his opponents in drakes don't break 200m/s! I see lots of fail pilots he fights against, and no "OMG TENGU OP"

It was good piloting on his/their parts but no you would never do those fights in a single Drake nor with 2 Drakes. You simply can't weave in and out of scam range with a MWD Drake like you can with the 100MN AB/ Loki boosted Tengu with 50KM point.

While many of those he fought were not very smart, he also did a good job of dictating range and shooting the right targets when they needed to be shot.

Not to mention even Nano Drakes don't hit that speed nor can they over heat as long as a Tengu can.

But of course Nerf Drakes. err I mean Tengus.. or was it Caracals.. I forget.

Ok I've watched most of that video and I can tell you many reasons that in this case it isn't OP.

1) he is using what appears to be either a friend who is giving command bonuses to point range and speed, deadspace equipment, or a combination thereof.

A t2 point on a tengu does not normally give you 42km or more point range or beyond 20KM web range.

2) he is for the most part not taking sentry gun fire, rather engaging those who are SoS or silly enough to engage a 100mn AB fit tengu.

3) he is managing his cap very well and even a single curse will not keep him neuted out completely if he manages his injections well enough.

4) despite hi getting very close to people many times...no one hits him with a webbifier, so either he scanned em ahead of time (most likely) or it is staged. I supposed he could also be targeting morons.

The solution to that "problem" is to not fly a nanodrake like you would a 100MN AB Tengu. You can actually dictate range a lot better in a nanodrake, thanks to better agility.

They should nerf Tengu and buff Ferox amirite? And nanodrakes are only for derps who don't listen to FC and screw up in their Muninns ;(

3b isk tengu with t3 command bonus alt, mostly using HG crystals but at one point id have to say HG slaves as he hits around 4.7k going after a cynabal. Poor heat management, poor module control, and he loses plenty of them in lulzy fashions.

It's not OP, it's just min maxing while pissing isk at the wind.

The advantage of a bad memory is that one can enjoy the same good things for the first time several times.

One will rarely err if extreme actions be ascribed to vanity, ordinary actions to habit, and mean actions to fear.

To be fair, to many times have we tried to catch a 100mn Tengu, and even with two huginns ie 4 webs, they can kill the huginns faster than 10 man fleet in BCs can bring the tengu down. Once the huginns are down or warpped off he will just burn at range again.

I use a 100mn loki, but i think that there need to be a nerf so you cant fit a battleship afterburner to a T3 overall.
