Hi all,

I've just released a beta update that will allow EMMA to use the new style API keys.
Assuming there are no problems reported, I'll be doing a regular release of the new version around the middle of next week.

Massive thanks to Lost Hamster for all his work converting the latest data dumps to work with EMMA and for his efforts getting the new API keys to work.

Edit:

Soz, forgot that some people won't have a clue what EMMA is.
Essentially it is an open source, third party application written by me.
It's purpose is to assist with various forms of trading as well as just generally keeping track of all your assets and what they are worth.

The previous thread is here
and the project is hosted on google code

Thanks, Ambo. I still haven't found a program that can do the things for me that EMMA does, so this is greatly appreciated.

You can find the installer here: http://code.google.com/p/evemarketmonitorapp/downloads/list

This is not the latest version but will auto update on startup.

If you want to get the beta release, you need to go into settings -> updates (or something like that) and enable the option to get beta updates.

I'm not the developer, so I can not give a exact answer. I can only tell, that the datadumps will be regularly updated, as I have created them in the past.
And I will try to keep the program up and running, so it is working with the latest API system.

The current version of EMMA will be maintained (especially with Lost Hamster helping!)

However, I've got no plans to add to it. Instead I'm currently working on a complete re-write with new features. This is a long way off though.

Beta update 1.6.0.1 released.

This fixes an issue that caused duplicate primary key errors when updating journal data.

So I'm a little confused about how I get the latest version.
Any chance you could spell it out for me--slowly and use small words please.

Hmmm. Exception after the EMMA startup splash screen:

"Problem during EMMA startup.
Check
C:\Users\xxxxxxx\AppData\Roaming\Emma\Logging\ExceptionLog.txt
for details."

There is no such directory, and upon a search there is no ExceptionLog.txt file on my computer.

Ideas?

Which directory you could not find ? Appdata ?
If yes, then please switch on the checkbox to see the hidden files as well. Because the AppData directory is a hidden directory.

I'm sure that the ExceptionLog.txt is at that place.

Finally got SQL working too. The app definitely lives up to its reputation. Just wondering though, I cant seem to generate reports. Is this because I have a trail version atm?

Ill eve-mail the error log to Lost Hamster and hope for the best...

Hi,
i just wanted to try your app, but i have several issues running it correctly. I'm unable to update EMMA ... in fact all emma connections are unsuccessfull: DestinationPortUnreachable. Do you have any recommendation for open ports other than 80 (HTTP) ?

The trial version has no limitations. Feel free to mail me the log file (ambo.emma@googlemail.com) and I'll take a look

Well the API uses HTTPS, which is usually port 443. Can't think of any others you might need.
That said, the auto update is just regular HTTP so if that's not working then I guess the connection is being blocked for some other reason.
