It is nothing but pure amazing...Still trying to find the mod myself, but I found this video:

Best thing ever! Shows the person flying a eve fighter escorting a fleet of 2 hyperions and a myrmidon against 2 amarr battleships and a battlecruiser.

As a further note: What if EvE Online made their own space simulator? That would be incredible...maybe even bring back the old era of space stims!

Down with first person shooters! I'm sick of them.

impressive how much a working soundengine can contribute to the fun factor

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

I full support this type of space fighting, as an option, not a requirement for pvp. You would still have your skills, but it could be augmented or handicapped by players flying their craft instead of just commanding them. The video is amazing, and i love it.

Interesting. Maybe some sort of free flight will be incorporated into EVE someday, but that day is a far ways off. Doesn't stop one from contemplating it though.

For all those with an Android Tablet out there, I found a great game that is like a mixture from EvEOnline and WingCommander and freelancer.

Go on the market and look for "Galaxy on Fire 2". I do not know if you have to have an tegra2 Tablet to get it to work. But it is really awesome.

You can Spin your ship in stations, you have dogfights...there is a fitting screen and a market... and even mining is possible.
Mining is even better in this game than in eve online, because it is not just dumb firing mining lasers on rocks. You have to keep your drill in position to get the good minerals, otherwise the drills will break.

You can play the demo a very long time...then at some point it seems to want $8 from you.. Don't know - I haven't played it that far yet.
