Very nice, lots of character. I especially like the hair highlights. 8/10

She is pretty and the combination of her wardrobe and accessory works well. I also like that you used a bit of scaring to make her skin feel a bit more natural, going away from that very artificial look that many avatars share because there can be no wrinkle found in their face but what I value most in an avatar is, if it transports any kind of emotion, a feeling or a mood.

Sadly there is none with your avatar. She still looks very lifeless and doll-like. Which I find a bit boring, sorry.

Could be a really good avatar if you could incorporate that. Like this, it "just" a good one.

10/10 always like your stuff.

Some may call the pose lifeless, but it's not. I get what you're going for.

But your lighting... oh, your lighting. It makes your image look dead. The first things that 'stand out' (nothing really does because of the blue-grey pallor you're cast in) are the lack of contrast in the armor and the dark, oddly-shaped shadows obscuring your eyes. But really, it's the color that kills your portrait. Your skin is bleached out and toneless, and the background doesn't contribute towards a unified whole. I don't think I've ever seen an photo so grey. Even Morrigan and Griffin aren't that grey, and they're going for drab and lifeless!

The sad thing is, your framing/style/pose all work quite well! You just need to tweak your light to take a far, far better shot of yourself. Have you considered getting a different photographer?

Anyways,
1) find a different color of light, pair it with a better background. The dark blue in the distance just doesn't fit. Maybe a station interior or something more... tactile?
2) consider changing the lighting's angle to make the shading more vivid.

For a lack of better words, she feels big/massive. At least in the forum sized pic. The larger the picture gets, the less this seems to be a problem. I think, it is because - just like Lan - you reserved too much of the shot for your torso. The cut off and tilt head only add to the feeling, that the character doesn't really fit into the frame. I think just a little bit less torso would help there already. Move her down a bit and zoom a little.

Lens flare is also o.k.. I'm a sucker for that.

I dig your smile. It seems super friendly, although it is also a bit overdrawn but not creepy. Because of that overdrawn nature, I made the botox joke. Hope it didn't go down the wrong way.

What I don't like are your piercings. Only lip and chin. They look like you got them out of a bubblegum machine. They have a very generic plastic feel.

I feel indifferent about the hair. It's fitting, but all that little micro clipping would drive me nuts. That's why I never use it myself.

I'd roast 9 out 10.

Wow. This a very good one. Like, very good. The combination of scars, implants, and tattooing produces the effect of blood smeared on your cheek, but I feel that's not an accident. Only two complaints here: it's just a little bit *too* dark, and I feel as though there's just too much background for that much character. Basically, I just want to be able to see more of you.

9/10, although I suspect that if you centered the image a little bit and maybe shifted the lighting (perhaps moved the camera to a lower position? I feel that looking down on you spoils the menacing effect, I don't know), it'd be an handy 10/10.

Massive Caldari State emblem. The composition isn't too bad. Physics seems to be missing, though. 6/10

Clearly a man of class and distinction. The low offset position in the frame, combined with the wall feature, suggests a seated position and a military office. Clever.

And "douleur d'esclave".. that alone is worth 10/10.

She wants to be rebellious, but doesn't have the attitude it seems like. Very lacklustre expression. I also don't know if the clothes would compliment the rebellious face if they were more visible.

Lose the chin piercings, they generally look quite fake and bad. I'd move her up in the frame to show a bit more of your body. It doesn't look very good, if there's only head and a bit of of neck visible.

What I really like, is the lighting on your cheeks. It is already a have way decent effect with the current background. You could expand on that.

Has potential, but you need to do some more work for it to be outstanding.

I love the lens flair, but I think that background is slightly on the dark side. Otherwise, your portrait does exactly what it sets out to do with no mistake or awkwardness. 9.5/10
