Striking, but looking over the shoulder like that doesn't communicate strength. It communicates, "wait, is there someone else in here with me?"

I can definitely see how she could be in command, though, with a more assertive pose. I hate coming up with ratings, but let's say 7.5/10.

Thanks, and thats now the second comment I got regarding the some what apprently "Riker-ish" look here... probably a product of watching the show for all these many years!
I'm looking for some improvement ideas too, all ideas are welcome.

Good one, has character. Seems to be an forthright, competent and confident guy. A responsible officer of some sort, and kind of "naval" looking. The monocle works (which is kind of rare for monocles). Could be a 10 if you somehow added a little drama, or made the character as lifelike as some we see.

Thoughtful, thinking about the lyrics a bit before you bust out in a rap man, don't really like the background color though, maybe something that jives a bit better with the shades? Nice facial shape/angle

overall pretty generic but def not bad!

Your avatar's expression defines itself, she doesn't look interested nor very interesting. Nothing bad to be said about it really, but nothing good either.

I guess the one thing I can say about it is that it's one of the few portraits where the background is more exciting than the character.

5/10 because we have characters positioned similarly, although opposing each other.... a duel to the death?

-2 as the background doesn't suit the way you are facing.

+3 because it looks like the front of your head is exploding, and that's kinda cool..... errr or not.
