Battleship Price Inflation

I am not one who plays the market, just uses it. Anyway I have been casually logging on to PvE the last 2 months in a back water region when I looked at the price of the few Apocs on the market and noticed they were above 100mil and most Tier 2 Battlecruisers were 35-40+ mil.

I logged on another character in Jita to see what was up and found that most ship prices have gone up a small amount but most noticeable is Battleships. An Armageddon seems to go for 69-75 mil, most Tier 1 Battleships are approaching or in the 70mil range whilst Tier 2 are 95-110mil and Tier 3 between 140mil-180mil.

What has caused Battleships to jump so high? I remember a year ago the prices for a Tier 1 were 35-45mil and recently have been around 50mil.

Is this a temporary trend that will reverse itself or can I expect Battleship prices to stay here or go higher?

Look at Tritanium prices for a clue.

K. So why does it largely effect Battleships increasing their cost by close to 1/3 while leaving Battlecruisers and Cruisers largely in the same price range as a few months ago.

supply and demand, if you think about it. more people produce battlecruisers, then battleships. so cuz of more people produceing it, its price will lagg farther behind. give them a few days and they will go up.

Thank you for your help understanding the pricing.

Can anyone tell me what exactly is the reason current rise in these prices and if this a temporary trend or will Starship prices to hold or go higher in general?

no idea, i can only guess. my guess is goonswarm is building mass amount of cap ships. like said above. last i heard they are fighting someone right now. if that is the source of the spike. its gonna be up for awhile. so look for medium ships to go up in price.

Yep. It's all goons. Ignore the people we're fighting against, or the drone region russians going at it, or the action in the south. All us. All goons. Never not goons.

Goons ran into my car in the supermarket parking lot, and didn't even leave a note.

Jerks.

I stole the shoes.

I don't always play EvE, but when I do, I prefer it to be a masochistic sandbox hell. Stay wardecked my friends.

Excellent we have a template to work of off.

I predict futures in Goon Blaming will see a 30% increase this quarter.

BTW: If anyone does know the reason behind the Mineral hike or has a link to a thread that has the reason I am still interested.

Battleships require large amounts of tritanium and therefore large amounts of Veldspar which is the most commonly mined hisec ore.

What you are seeing as inflationary pressure on Battleships is a direct result of carebear miners leaving the game or taking up other activities in Eve besides mining.

As a long time miner i can tell you that many once busy and heavily mined regions in Gallente space are now more often completely devoid of miners.

Ganking causing this? Somewhat, but i figure incursions are changing the game more than anything else. Except for maybe plex.

To the TC, Hulkaggedon is playing a big role. A lot of hi-sec miners are being ganked, and that is where 80% of low quality minerals come from.

Tritanium prices have already risen 25% over the past week.
