I was curious as to what happens when you undock at full speed and just leave your ship for X amount of time.

Or say, I'm in system Z in Caldari space and I start flying full speed towards the Minmatar Nebulae.

Is there a point where you stop or is each system a globe where you would just be flying around the inner circumference?

You just keep goin' and goin' and goin'....and goin'. Come back tomorrer and you'll still be there...goin'.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

Your normal engines are not fast enough to take you out of your current solar system in any time short of decades. As for warp drive: you need a bookmark and current rules prevent those from being made far away from a solar system.

When such things were possible, the result is you just went off into the void, you never actually got to another star.

The nebula you see is mapped onto a cube,
and that cube is always "infinitely" far away from your current position.

No matter how long you go, you'll never reach anything.

Somone has managed in the distant past to get thier ship to fly far enough to reach a jovian star according to the star map. However system never loaded. (would be neat if ccp did have a flip over point)

There is a youtube video out there of a guy flying from a nullsec system to Jove space. When he got there he could see everything but couldn't interact with it.

There you go.

If you leave your ship at full speed your pod would keep going and going, just one more example of CCP's failure to science.

I don't understand...is there some magical barrier out in space to stop a moving object from going any further?
