Corpses, Give us a Purpose!

I've long enjoyed collecting the corpse of my prey, but often wondered if there could be a purpose to the ever-increasing mass of flesh and bone.

I've always enjoyed the EVE chronicles, and here is one of my favourite :

What if we could make use of the corpses? Some potential ideas:

Quafe+ Booster : Produce it similar to combat boosters, with scaling corpse values based on sp of pilot or implant values. Could even change the booster type based on Race.

Biomass Reactor Array: Pos Module requiring a moderate amount of power and CPU, but when running reduces a POS's fuel cost by 5-10%. Different corpse values determine burn rate in the reactor.

FW LP Rewards: Turn in the corpse of your enemies in Factional Warfare to earn bonus LP points!

I've had other ideas but these are the ones that stand out. Let me know what you think and add your own ideas. I'd love to see ANYTHING happen with corpses. Constructive critisicm only please.

I normally just picture myself standing in front of my Corpse Container with a smirk and a Hairdryer.

Would be nice if you could add the corpse to your ship... like a trophy or something. This way corpses are wasted if the ships gets popped. And it has a nice use other than having it's pretty mouth violated.

Implant Harvesting is the idea that's circulated for a while regarding making use of corpses.

I used to make money of gullible people making them believe if I give them their corpse back for ISK they can take it to some random concord station to have their implants salvaged.

Would be nice if you really could do it though.

If they ever implement some kind of corpse viewing room then all of WiS will be justified.

Having corpse hard-points on ships for mounting would be nice, similar to turret hard-points. Then when people viewed your ship they would have something interesting to see besides what kind of guns you were using.

Maybe you could even have a short message spray painted on the corpse...

Not to stray too far from the topic but the whole idea of customizing the look of your ship beyond the basic ship design would be incredible, even if its not as extensive as adding a corpse + shadowing of it etc since it would have to be a model (wonder what that would do to the rendering/performance aspect of the game). Something less intensive like emblems or skin colors would be pretty cool, maybe the first step on the way to anchoring corpses to your ship.

Anyone else reminded of Firefly?

All I want is a corpse viewing area for WiS where the face of the corpse is a slightly-paler version of their actual avatar.

It would make me so happy to be able to stroll up and down vats of corpses, pausing only to inspect the fragmented husk of a defeated pod pilot.

As an avid corpse collector, I would greatly enjoy being able to do something with the 200+ bodies I have stacked up in Amarr. Hell, even being able to so much as view them by name would be nice. I have a corpse of my CEO somewhere, but I can't be bothered to go through my graveyard to find him.

Implant harvesting is a nice idea i hadn't thought of. I still like the idea of being able to turn corpses into a consumable item. Make it production in 0.0 only as well.

The reactor array is a nice idea too i think. Save 10% fuel costs on a POS but you burn an average of 1 50mil SP, +3 implanted, corpse every few hours.

Keep em coming, alot of good feedback but i'd like to see something actually happen with corpses.

Honestly, now that the sansha are back and acting all nasty with their special slave implants and all that -- I've often thought it would be appropriate if corpses were part of a r/d and production chain for implants.

Yes such a thing do exist, and CCP has used them on their fleets.
