An 0.0 pilot taught me how to use Dotlan maps so i went to BY-MSY in null.

The owner alliance has improved the system to +5 Strategic, +5 Military, and +3 Industry.

Yesterdays Dotlan shows 10,042 npc kills - http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/m498/harescramble/dotlan1-30.jpg

If you check todays Dotlan for BY-MSY you will see it's down to 6551 and falling.

The Sansha anomalies usually spawn battleships valued at 1.1 to 1.2 mil in equal numbers as battlecruisers valued at 138,000 isk so if you average thier bounties it is about 644,000 per npc.

The only difference between yesterday and today is that i have been in the system actively displaying my ship and the total npc kills has dropped by 3500 in 12 hours and it is still falling. If you multiply 3500 npc times average value of 644,000 isk you get 2,254,000,000 billion isk.

The ship i used is a Velator equiped with a prototype cloaking device and a beta hull mod nanofiber in low to reek this 2.3 billion havoc and the isk amount is climbing.

Timid bunch, aren't they?

Thanks for fueling the AFK cloaker threads. Those never fail to amuse.

Interesting.

Do you know if they are not just moving to the system next door/some other juicy system? It's well known that you can wreak economic damage by simply setting up an AFK cloaker in the enemy system. But it is impressive how a lone velator can cause billions in lost ratting revenue.

no , not afk cloaking, i am actively displaying myself to the three real pilots in that system, while keeping the "other" pilots logged out

Three "real" pilots... Okay - and how many others in local besides yourself? On average of course..

if you want a blow by blow breakdown it looks like one guy is tri-boxing some of the time - not alot, 2 pilots are real and actually solo the anomalies (you are impressive in that Tengu btw) and 2 station toons , there is a jump bridge so pilots come and go and the Thanatos doesn't rat anymore - it hugs the station

Just contact them and tell them if they pay you money you will leave the system and allow them to keep farming and such.

No, no, no.

You don't understand. New players are completely ineffectual and don't stand a chance against older players. Also, nullsec is completely impervious and cannot be beaten, disrupted, or affected in any way — the hold of the nullsec alliances is simply too strong. It's true, you see, because I read it on the forums.

Interesting. Seems to be a pretty effective method of negatively impacting hostile revenue.

Taken to the extreme, I could see legions of alts from one alliance deploying the AFK cloak noob ships throughout enemy territory. While in time it may not act as much of a long-term farming deterrent, it will lower their situational awareness when actual hunters come a knocking. Also good for keeping pressure on the hostiles. Good mind share. Well played OP.

My theory is that the stultifying boring activity of gate camping to maintain the "great wall of carebear" and keep 0.0 space the botter haven that it is has a financial motivation behind it.

That's the only way anybody can put up with that.

If CCP just removes local in 0.0, there will be a horse's head in Hilmars bed.

So you agree AFK cloaking is effective?
