There where a gamer dating service a couple of years ago. You could specify what game and server you wanted to meet other singles in. In a way I think it can be a quite good idea. You want to meet someone who don't mind (that much) if you're busy roaming on a Friday evening. And I have met a bunch of quite delightful ladies in Eve. But distance is usually the problem.

Probably because, prior to the Incursion-released character creator, most of the male avatars just looked...wrong. Badly so.
