It's a good way to get 100M.

But no guarantee he will actually give it to you. Ask for references and hope they're not his alts.

If someone is offering you money to perform a service in EVE that does not violate your sense of moral injustice, you should perform the service. This advice can also be applied to real life with good results.

Can you elaborate on "is this person aura?"

Since you already paid for a month this prob won't benefit you as much. Essentially he invites you to the game for 21 day trial account and he gets a PLEX in return. He can use this PLEX to add time to his account or he can sell it on the market. In this case he sells it and gives you a cut.

It's up to you really...

I wouldn't do it. It's going to cost you another $15 and starting over (unless you want to keep two accounts running, which is not uncommon at all). You could spend $20 on a PLEX yourself and sell it for almost 500m.

If someone refers you to the game via the buddy program, giving you a 21 day trial, if you pay to activate that account the person who referred you gets a 30 Day Pilot's License Extension (PLEX) , which is an ingame item that can be used to give more time on your account, or facilitate other account services. PLEX can also be traded for ingame money.

According to eve-central.com, the going rate for a PLEX right now is close to 480m isk. He'd probably sell the PLEX and give you a 100m isk share. If anything I'd ask for a bigger slice. You're the one who's paying for your account to be activated after all.

Start the bidding at 300m and see what he says. Accept no less than 200m.

If you just want the money then just buy some Eve time codes and convert them into PLEX which you can sell for yourself.

so it must be a scam. i can spend 15 and get a plex or spend 15 to get anohter account and he gets the plex. this should not be happening to a new player.

It's not a scam

44 days and $15 spent
or
51 days and $15 spent

While scams with the Buddy Program are not permitted (as noted in the Terms and Conditions) scamming in pretty much everywhere else in the game is permitted.

The only barrier they have for new players is that you are not allowed to place bait cans in starter systems to get newbs to agress you. Otherwise they're fair game.

It seems you misunderstand. You cant buy just one plex you have to buy two at a time. (@ $35 USD for both (($17.5 USD per)) After reading some of the offers it looks as though people are offering 21 days and giving you 65-80% of the plex (upwards of 500 million now) value. So really youre only losing out on a few dollars just for paying the $20 dollars to buy the game, your first month and several hundred million isk.

Sounds like one hell of a deal to me.

If it is a scam, and you don't get 100 Mill, he has violated the EULA and you can report him to CCP, who will ban him. (Maybe even refund your ISK, not sure on that though)

If it's legit, then he's simply trying to get a PLEX for 400 mil cheaper than current market prices, and all you'll get is another account that you have to pay an additional subscription fee for (raising your EVE game costs to 30$ a mo.) If you really need another account for whatever reason, just "buddy" yourself and get another account AND a PLEX.

Though you're new and are miles away from even considering an alt, IMHO.

It is not a scam, but he is ripping you off. Check out this thread, people are offering upwards of 400 million for the same thing

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Sometimes when I post, I look at my sig and wish that I'd follow my own god damned advice.

There is no way to tell what new players have already subbed vs those still on trials.

Paying for buddy accounts is a pretty good deal IF you haven't already upgraded your account. If you have, buying a PLEX is a better deal for you.

BTW: I offer 85% of whatever the market hub price of a PLEX is at the time you sub. So the only thing he was doing is underpaying.

Unless he wants his main account and all alts to be banned then it's probably not a scam.

Though I wouldn't take the deal. He's asking for you to start another account for 15 dollars for only 100 mil in return.

You can just pull another five bucks together and buy a plex and sell it for 500mil, a much better deal.
