This issue has been going on a few days. I try to log on and it gives me this message "Your connection to the server was closed." I usually just close out of my client, and restart it, and after a few tries (around 3 or 4) it finally lets me on. BUT today, it won't let me on at all. I don't know how many god damn times I've tried so far but it just wont let me on. I have managed to log on with another account but with this one I have had no luck yet. Help please! Cry

There is a variety of bugs in this last patch I've observed. But there are two very specific ones.

1. Jumpgate disconnections. Player gate jumps, either regional or even titan gateways and client crashed.

2. Authentication disconnections. If a player tabs out, or is sitting idle for X amount of time, the client crashes and restarts. Usually on restart get errors such as yours "connection to server has been lost" and takes a couple attempts to get back in.

Myself I have the authentication disconnection issue I believe. I can sit in a space station, tab out to look at ship builds and the client restarts. I've tested this with two different computers, opened one account on one, and another on a different PC a few seconds later, when the first client crashed, was a few seconds later the second client crashed.

Each time i try to log back in, I get the server connection error first, before I can actually log back in.

However this isn't completely on idle clients. I can be at an asteroid belt, load up my mining barge, warp back to a local station, and my ship will stop mid way, come to a complete halt. I can't warp anywhere, chat and everything is working. about 5-6 minutes later poof my capacitors are empty and I'm warping to whereever I was trying to the first time.

Patch note don't mention anything about authentication changes, but I'm willing to bet they made some major change to try and prevent botting, and they haven't perfected it yet.

forgot another symptom of the authentication bug. I'm currently docked, trying to buy stuff on the market. the entire UI is unresponsive. In a couple minutes, the client will eventually crash and reboot. In which I'll have to attempt to log in 3-4 times.

Similar problem that I reported here: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=722338#post722338

After I click OK, that Authenticating bar slowly fills up, and then sits there, rendering that client useless. I have to close the window and try again.
