In the common questions and answers it states you must declare bounty and security stats. Everything about the char must be reviled before transfer. Reputation, kill rights and others. They state that the sale / transfer can still take place but the buyer should ask before isk is sent.

I can't find where it says a character transfer has to be announced.

easily circumvented by buying with an alt, but...

where does it say it has to be announced?

Can you sell a character than is the sole member in a Player Owned Corporation and add the Corp as an asset. For example,
the toon in question being sold has a 8.0 standing with the Amarr Faction thus the Corporation has a 8.0 faction standing. Would that toon have to be sold in an NPC corp or could it stay in the player owned corp and have the corp sold as an asset?

To start with, it is impossible to transfer a char whilst in a player corp, so must be in npc.
Adding the corp as an asset is also against the rules as no assets may sold as part of the char sale (assets can be left with the char for sale but must not be part of the transaction)

Char sales must be announced as the only way to sell them is via eve forums.

Even if you are giving your char away to a m8, its safer to post that so its all above board.

If your just transferring your own char to a different account of your own then its not a sale and doesn't need to be posted.

I just want to get a price check on my character.. I want to go a different direction in eve I do not want to divert from that path..do I have to leave my corp to get a price check?

I'm pretty sure you don't even need to post with the character for sale for a price check.

and it should be in the Price Check section (not Character Bazaar).

please put a 'reply' button totally separate to the dam 'thread bump' button so you can answer replies legally and quickly knowing the great gods wont ban you for 24hrs just cause you want to answer someones question - bumping the thread -

All you dicks out in eve world complaining about being locked for 24hrs or your thread perma locked due to rule breaking.

YOU would be complaining and moaning if ISD's didn't do this and the forums were flooded with inconsiderate idiots that believe the forums are there personal use only and every one else doesn't matter.
Within 1 day of no moderation there would be tears everywhere from idiots:

"char I bought isn't in npc, now I have to wait for seller to drop corp" yeah, theres a rule for that, but idiots still ***** they need to be in npc BEFOR posting.

"been scammed, fake char sale, not sp quoted, neg wallet etc etc" again ISD etc are there to help and limit this but no, still gonna ***** and moan.

The person spends huge time in search of the necessary character, collects the necessary sum of ISK.
Wins the auction, translates ISK, and as a result of it deceive.
And the support service, unclear for what reason tightens the solution of return of ISK to the buyer? though theoretically, it has to become almost instantly, after examination that everything governed at a forum, upon purchase was observed, and transfer of ISK was carried out. And transfer of the character wasn't made.
Why the service so devil-may-carely to treat people?
Or this situation is pleasant to the management?

Two questions:

might be a stupid ,If a person is Selling a char in the forums, and someone sends isk but anything was confirmed/accepted/ or agreed... must one send back the isk?

question two, can one transfrs the is to a different char on the account that the char being transfered is on if the transfer was already started?

Question 1= yes you must send the isk back, as any form of char scam is a perma ban. stupid people do stupid things like sending isk befor you agree but if you don't send it back you will get a ban.

Question 2= if I read that right (not sure it makes sense) isk can be transferred to any char, but you cannot transfer isk from a char if transfer of char is started, ccp will move it for you if that mistake is made.

I recently created a new account using Steam. In order to log in to access EVE services, such as my account, I need to use the Steam log in option. Since I cannot log in to EVE services the usual way I am unclear on the account name I would provide in order to buy a character.

In order to purchase a character for a Steam account what information should be provided?

You can give your char to anyone as long as the only payment you receive (if any) is isk and you transfer the char from your account to his.

I would advise posting the transfer on forums for clarity.
Just post:
Transfering / Giving my char xxxxxx to xxxxxx for no isk.
I pay transfer

have your mate reply hes receiving it then do the transfer.

Rule 14. can we cut this crap out it's pointless I doubt ccp read the corp mails and they make clutter.

Alliance mails would be much more useful.

"Prior to leaving a corporation, the character to be sold MUST send a corp-wide EVE mail stating that they are going to be sold and will be leaving for an NPC corporation. "
