  • Type selection for heavy missiles isn't on the blueprint screen but is on the blueprint management and manufacturing tab. Both have Heavy Missiles listed. Again, link a screenshot if you can't find them.


Finally, make sure you are using version 2.0.4424.13591. Version 1.3 is no longer supported.

Ferrogel reaction uses these base materials:
Dysprosium
Hafnium
Chromium
Platinum
Promethium
Vanadium
Cadmium

Set all their prices to zero.
Set POS fuel price to zero.

Set Ferrogel price to 1 ISK.
IPH says the profitability is 800 ISK / HR (if you un-tick taxes and fees), that is 800 units produced per hour. That requires TWO complex reactors running.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are problems with the other complex reactions when you set it to calculate a full reaction chain, since someone else already reported a problem with a different one.

OK yeah, I designed it to work like that. If you start with basic mats going to intermediate, I assume you are going to react those into the advanced materials not that you would make one reaction of advanced and sell off the extra intermediates. So for Ferrogel, starting with the basic reactions then to intermediates, you get enough for 2 cycles of the advanced.

So the question really comes down to what is the "right way" to do this? Other people have made suggestions but I think they are how they do it, not necessarily how you do it. The reactions don't work out nice and neat where you get exactly what you need for the next. What I think I will end up doing at some point is having the user define three things; the number of POSs you are running and the cost for each; the number of complex reactions you are running; and the number of simple reactions you are running. That way you can set it up for how you have your chain set up and I'll just calculate the profit of the mats created assuming a cycle is up and running.

I didn't want to get this complicated with the system but it seems that there really is no "Push button, collect ISK" solution with anything in industry heh Roll

Anyway, let me know your thoughts as I don't get much feedback on reactions and would like it to work well for everyone (I use it for just complex reactions and one tower).

I think some info about what the program is doing could help some people so they don't come running to the forums like me, but I don't know where you'd put it. Maybe show the output quantity as well as the input? Or maybe an info box that says 'required reactors' or something. Also, I think a listing of the prices would be really helpful in the list that shows the inputs down in the bottom right. Just a small suggestion :P (I usually write down prices from IPH into my spreadsheet, but I don't remember the reactants so having them + their prices in a nice tidy list would be super helpful).

Also, dream feature:
Exporting prices to a spreadsheet or something :D

The shopping list behavior seems to have changed. It no longer provides a list of all components and raw materials. Add adding items to the shopping list seems to only add components for me not raw materials. And copying the list gives you only the components.

The previous function of getting raw materials totals, component totals, and final item totals was very useful to me.

Yes it has. Sorry about that. I'll get a fix up probably tomorrow.


I found another crash bug.

Similar to the last one. If you goto Blueprint tab and delete all the numbers from ME Slot (but not PE it gives error) the program will crash.Same goes for the Manufacturing Tab if you have nothing in ME OR PE and hit calculate.

As you already know, I use your very nice tool at work and at home.

I have updated my owned BPO's at work.
I would like to know if I can, with a simple/copy paste of a "data file" (or maybe the whole directory), update IPH at home.
It will save me a lot of time if it is possible...

ME levels do not seem to be effecting the build requirements for POS components. A Silo at ME 0 and at ME 100 still takes 50,000 trit.

New build fixing above issues

Build 2.0.4429.24086

  • The shopping list will now correctly display build items when entered
  • Pressing enter on the ME/PE value boxes with no values assigned will no longer crash the program

I'm having no issues with API keys. Let me know if you are still having a problem. You could send me your key and I could double check it on my end as well.

There is a total m3 in the Shopping List when you add items. It is also output when you copy the list.

Some items are not affected by ME or PE values. I'm pretty sure POS components are some of those items.

You should be able to. I haven't updated the structure of the database since release. Not saying it will work every time but an alternative you could do is keep the program folder and all the contents on a zip drive to take home from work if possible. It all runs in the same folder now.

First off, thank you so much for this tool! I, too, have been frustrated to try to find a way to sort through which of the decent items to manufacture will actually be likely to sell. Sure SVR has its limits, but I find it to be a helpful reference to consider if the supposed massive isk/hour is worth the risk of the price changing quite a bit before I get the darned thing sold. I have not done manufacturing in a looong time because I lost interest in all the data I had to pour over, but this tool looks fun and it is encouraging me to give it another try sometime (on an alt Blink)

As a hobbyist bug squasher I wanted to bring a few things to your attention. I want to add a small disclaimer that for now I have only tried this on one computer, a slower beast running Windows XP, so some of the issues might be just because of my computer.

1) Tooltips, Only on Some Things? - On the manufacturing list tab, I can mouseover things like the various probability multipliers (to get a list of the names of the various items for each race and the stats for that item) or Profit %, SVR, and SVR*IPH for a brief description of what that means. However, many items do not seem to have a mouseover tool tip, such as IPH and Profit under Sort By and any of the 4 options under Price Comparison. I'm guessing that you have just implemented tooltips for items that you thought needed some sort of explanation. Are these other tooltips there and just not showing up for me? Perhaps this is more of a 'feature request' than a 'bug' but since there is no manual (that I know of) for EVEIPH, more tool tips would be appreciated Big smile.

2) Faction POSes, Same Fuel Cost - when clicking the "Edit POS" button in the Manufacturing List tab, I see where you can set various types of POSes but I noticed that when changing from a Caldari Small Tower to a Guristas Small Tower the fuel costs don't change. My understanding is that CCP finally settled on making the faction towers use less fuel - 10% less for 'tier 1' towers and 20% less for 'tier 2' towers. To be fair, I have not actually messed with faction towers since the fuel block switch over so maybe CCP again changed their minds on that one, but if that is the case, it looks like the fuel block consumption numbers for faction towers are incorrect.

3) Build Block Price Doesn't Vary - When I select Standard Towers and check the 4 races, I see that the "Buy" costs vary for Fuel Blocks but the "Build" costs seems to stay the same (at the moment it is 12748.60.) With no other costs considered except the raw materials, using the Blueprint tab I figure these are the current prices per block assuming ME 100: Amarr 12192.20, Caldari 12748.60, Gallente 12750.25, Minmatar 13970.80. When I check the Update Prices tab for ice products, sure enough, the different isotopes have different prices. This seems to suggest that there is an issue with how the "Set POS Settings" thing calculates Build costs for Fuel Blocks. Apparently it is only using the Caldari isotope (Nitrogen) for all the fuel blocks? Also, a side question - what ME is this basing the Build Price off of? Changing the "ME and PE for Unowned BPs doesn't seem to change the Build Price from 12748.60. Is it using perfect ME?

4) Meta 2-4 Items Showing with T1 and T2 Only Checked - On the Manufacturing List tab, when I check Modules and Tech 1 and Tech 2 (but no other items) I end up with things like Dual Modal Giga Pulse Laser I and Capital Coaxial Regenerative Projector I in my lists. Similarly, items like Gaze Survey Probe 1 and Discovery Survey Probe I show up with Tech 1, Tech 2, and Ammo/Charges checked. So far as I know, the BPOs for these items are not offered and they are not produced through invention. I honestly don't know much about where the blueprints for these items come from (because they have info in the Blueprints tab, so there must be a blueprint somehow) but I'd rather not have them cluttering up my search if they aren't something I can reasonably lay hands on. If I'm just derping here and the BPOs are available or BPCs for these are made through invention, just tell me, but if not, would you mind perhaps making a different sort of checkbox for these (like with Storyline and Faction) since they are not truly "T1" as they are listed as (in the sense that I can't just buy a BPO for them)?

Are you still getting this error? This looks like a blip with Source Forge and not necessarily IPH. When you run the update, when does the error come up? When the main program is open or when it is closed and the updater runs?

Thanks for the comments. Glad you like the program. For your items:

  1. Yes, I only implemented it for things I thought were confusing and not really intuitive. I add more as people suggest them. They are really easy to do so just let me know but on some screens, like Manufacturing, if I added too many tips they probably would clutter up the screen too much heh.
  2. I saw something like this the other day but didn't know they changed it to use less fuel. I thought they just increased the time it would run? I'll double check this and adjust as neccesary.
  3. Thanks for finding this. I think you just might have to select the build/buy button and back to see it update. I thought I fixed that but I'll take care of it.
  4. Yeah, these items come from the Concord LP office and were released with Incursions. They are BPC's but I should treat them similar to faction items since that's how other BPC's are handled from the LP store. I'll fix that up shortly.
