I agree that seeing if others are afk would be nice.

Of course it can be used by spies inside an ennemy corp to know when peoples are afk, but usually people, will either be cloaked or docked when they are, do it does'nt really matter. They will get killed the first couple of times until they learn to hide when theyre afk (cloaking, docking, etc.) .

Edit: Also, there is way too much garbage posts in this topic. We dont care about what you think of the OP and what you think are his/her motivation, we care about what you think of his ideas and arguments. If you have nothing to say about them, dont say anything.

Make it a optional turn on, sure. Automated intel, nope. Whether i'm afk or not is none of anyone's business, corp mate or not unless I make it so.

You know what? I don't think it's needed anymore. If you're afk and you care about your corpies, you should tell them that you are. Nothing automatic nor manual is needed.

Eve is'nt a chat software, its a game and gathering intel is part of it.

I also agree it's true that it shouldn't be needed, and it doesn't annoy me at all when someone goes afk (as I understand that things crop up unexpectedly in RL), but it has been a cause of annoyance to my corpmates on one or two occasions, and I feel it may be a fairly simple thing to implement for CCP.

When I tell my corp I'm afk, that doesn't help people who log on after I've said it in corp chat. Some of my afk's end up being longer than intended. Sad
