The CCP responses are not acceptable.

Give us the option to display it as any or all of the following:

- EVE Day of Week (localized using the short abbreviation such as Mon/Tue/Wed, default to OFF)
- EVE Date (default to ON)
- EVE Time (default to ON)
- Local Time (default to OFF)

The defaults for the date area should match how it's been for the last few years.

What this man said. It cant be hard to code these options under right click over clock menu. You can surely make it so that clock as it's now (takes half of the height of new group) auto adjust to take max two group heights (all 4 options on.) What's more, I do hope that all the things like this, captain quarters, then return to ship hangar teach it's much much better to code in OPTIONS. Instead of first coding something, then later backtracking resources to it simply because people generally dislike being forced to adopt new things.

Think about it, if you had coded the above options in at first spot, instead of simple removal, the person atm splitting hairs over coding tooltips and whatnot in wouldnt need to do that, what's more, you could have touted it as FEATURE "Now you're able to control what important data you want to see and what not." Instead of "we thought you didnt want that feature(ship spinning, date, xyz) anyway."

Please, for love of whatever that's holy and left in CCP office, learn from these mistakes as people generally dislike complaining of similar things over and over after each patch.

but rather because we don't feel that the information being displayed is important enough to justify taking up valuable screen space.

Why dont you just ask us (the players) if we can justify it taking up 10 pixels in the bottom corner.

All these worthless changes without a shred of communication about whether the players would like it or not.

I'd like the date back too. I joined last May so I've had the date in the corner for my whole Eve career, it is invaluable since I'm on a different date than the server for 2/3rds of the day.

Not a tooltip, please -- an option in the config dialog so people who want it can have it all the time.

Thanks!

Date back please, it's ridiculous to say the date takes up real estate space it's right
at the bottom corner and the neocom can be set to hide itself anyways. Don't
treat us like children and give us lame excuses that has no common sense
in it.

Thank you so much CCP

Clicking on Date = Caldander makes alot more sense than clicking on a clock
Maybe we should get an alarm tool for the clock to log us off after a set time who knows.

A tooltip is not much of an improvement over what we have to deal with now. It's information that we used to have right in front of us, now hidden away behind a mouse movement.

Most folks would be happy if you'd simply stick the day of month number back above the clock as the default (so "day-of-month", line break, "EVE time"). With an option to turn off the day-of-month display and just show the EVE time.

You would get bonus points for allowing even more customization such as displaying the day of week or local time in addition to the EVE clock as options.

Guys, it's not you were asked for. Really. The point of having a date is to be able to see it easily, without additional actions like moving the mouse. Please, don't start selective hearing thing again.

Can you also add it as a number under the time as a whole then...

If you play in fullscreen or fixed window - you don't see taskbar.
