the lessons of trashtalk,
on saturday, we had 4 TEST alliance bs come play with us. they were two maelstroms and two rokh.......asb fitted ofcourse. they busted our gate camp....for short time. We answer their challenge with 5 rr bs with legion boosts......falcon on standby incase they wanna get gay with it. we engaged, every one of them used ecm drones......they were jamming 2 of our bs at any one time. we were losing a bs, I decided ok, they wanna use ecm ill do same, falcon decloaked, permajam on one mael. we take down one of their maels. they disengaged, and everyone docked. The remaining 3 bs were not done. they filled local with trash talk, calling us carbears (we are all -9.9 or lower) and saying that only noobs use rr bs (rr bs are hard imo) and if we had any balls we would undock for another battle.....LOL.......out comes the dual web scram abaddon, out comes the carrier to rep it, and finally out comes the blapping moros. I cant link km sorry (evekill hurry and fix yourself) but one mael gets blapped instantly, and the rokh goes down as well. lesson of the day......if youre going to trash talk your enemy into undocking make SURE they really are noobs and cant out gun your super tanked asb bs. thx TEST alliance.

I was dumb and let greed guide my decision making, and because of it I got scammed. It was one of those stupid isk doublers, one that happens to post right on this sub fourm. I sent her 150mil which was quickly doubled to 300mil. When I sent 600mil it was not doubled and she told me she was keeping it. This can be seen in this chat log: http://i.imgur.com/ci0mg.jpg

So I was finally scammed in EVE, it took a year. =(

So, long time empire space carebear here with a story of death and destruction (the best kind!). I've been keeping up with this thread for a while and felt like casuing a bit of mayhem Big smile so I went out an bought 5 thrashers and got to work!

Day 1- A good start

So, being the cautious type I decided to start off my career as a HS pirate by using thrashers to gank frigates with high value modules, the primary target being Covert Ops ships with Sisters probe launchers (40mil) which isn't bad considering each thrasher only cost 10 mil (probably slightly more than necessary as I used mostly T2 equipment).

So my alt starts roaming around Gallente space armed with a ship-scanner looking for targets. Just before DT I jump a gate and find a Cheetah sitting on the other side at 0. Ship scan reveals a Sisters Expanded Probe Launcher so I switch over to this Char (a couple of jumps away) and start burning there. I arrive on the gate with all mods hot, lock, two volleys later BOOM!

http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=14681600

My alt swoops in to loot and salvage both wrecks, I don't have a cargo scanner so I got a rather pleasent surprise Big smile. That whole drop payed for all of my Thrashers 2 times over.

Anyway I waited out my GCC and agression over DT and went back to base for another Thrasher.

A couple of systems later my alt scans an Imicus on the small chance that it would have an expensive mod fit, the scan turns up a Sisters Core Probe Launcher. This guy was aligning away from the gate while he was scanning, so I had my alt orbit him closely and then warped in my Thrasher to my alt at 30km from the celestial he was aligning to. BOOM!

http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=14682048

Needless to say the loot drop was dissapointing, but it was bound to happen. So having some rather angry people with kill-rights on me I decided to stake out new territory and head out to minmatar space. A little while later I found an Anathema sitting 15km off a gate, scan revealed a Sisters Core Probe Launcher so...

http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=14692282

Another dissapointing loot drop, but at least I got to teach someone that a WCstab isn't much use againt a scram. Thats it for day 1, I signed off with 2 Thrashers left and a taste for blood!.

Day 2- Blood!

I got off to a bad start on day 2, hunted for ages but could only find cheaply fit covops on celestials. All the expensive ones were being sensible and cloaking/scanning from a safe. After a while of roaming I just happened to scan a Manticore that appeared to be AFK 15km from a gate. Scan revealed a shield boost amp but no booster so I re-scanned and found he had a Gistii A-type Small Shield Booster fitted (200mil). After quickly pulling up a Manticore in Pyfa to confirm that I could kill it and checking for shield boost/hardener effects (there were none) I warped the Thrasher in and killed it in 3 volleys.

http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=14705598

OMG 316 mil Manticore! The shield booster didn't drop, but I got enough to more than cover the thrasher. Also: Light missile launchers? T2 cap and shield rigs?

Spent a long time searching, and almost ganked a Helios with a Gistii B-Type 1mn afterburner (15 mil) out of sheer boredom but persevered anyway. Eventually my alt spotted a Buzzard on D-scan, while trying to marrow it down, the buzzard landed on the gate and jumped. My alt jumped with it and he warped to the Sun. My alt landed with him and a quick scan revealed a Sisters Core Probe Launcher, so I warped in the Thrasher.

http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=14706064

Hurray! 66 mil in loot.

So that concludes my first attempt at suicide ganking, a few disapointments but a little over 200mil in drops (not including loot dropped from the Thrashers or salvage) and a good laugh at that Manticore fit.

Thanks for listening

Well, not everyone flying marauder is a carebear, some people fund their PvP (on alts or otherwise) like that.

OK so i tried the whole Blog thing. That just does not work for me... It could be that I am just to lazy or it could be I feel to far removed from you fine gents browsing this forum.

In any event, While I was near Amarr flying around in my Thorax I found somebody can mining. Can mining with the new buffs? Unbelievable.

In any event I take his things and make it mine. Apparently this person flies with a friend that sets traps using his miner buddy. Than shoops in and kill the would be can flipper. He learned fast and hard that a thorax is more than a match for an ill prepared hurricane.

He convo'ed me afterwards for the GF and telling me he checked my KB and was cocky since he has been killing noobs and other player for a while like this now in that system.

With the recent mining buffs the chance of finding that one great can that escalates into a BC/BS kill is becoming far and wide.

As a result I have been kicking up the War effort and I always just seem to fight the right targets that are willing to engage me in hopes for that Bounty on me. Not to mention it is also a great way to earn ISK. Since it only takes so many people before a CEO buckles and hands over the ISK.

My most recent war scored me about 12 kills in less than an hour with 22 war targets throwing ships at me to try and break my Cynabal. Not normally a ship I choose but wanted to give it a try and it was an awesome battle.

BattleReport

This fight netted me 2 faction cruiser kills, ships I have not killed yet so it makes me happy.

I love this thread, and I'm always overjoyed to see an update posted while at work. I figured that before I give EVE a break, I'd post the results of an interesting fight I got into awhile back.

First off, I don't claim to be a super-amazing PVPer, but I do love a good fight whenever I can get them. When can-flipping, the flipper really is at a disadvantage. The targets know what ship they are in, and if they do a quick google or battleclinic search, they know how good the flipper is and what his ship is most probably fit like. In addition, they are able to bring many corpies into the fight, making for some pretty raunchy brawls. I love this. Now, all of you guys know this already, but I felt the need to share why I flip-self-justification and all that.

Details are a bit fuzzy as it was months ago, but I'll do my best:

Stumbled into a belt with several miners duking it out with some rocks. Marked the corp to do a quick check of local, and then burned towards the only can out there (Once I landed two of the cans there were immediately pulled). Nice flip on the two noobships that were mining into the same can. So in warps the rupture, which was promptly put down by my favorite little ship in the game, the Harpy:

http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=17067264

A few minutes go by, and two of the guys warp off. I'm hoping things get a little more nasty, but being a navitas, it was like shooting a crippled (insert cute animal here):

http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=17067263

I'm checking d-scan like a madman to see what is heading my way. Sure enough, a drake and cane land at zero to the mining group's previous location and start firing at my baby. No one lands point, and both ships start burning away. I know I have time, so I start burning to tackle the cane and get under the guns:

http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=17067262

He goes down, and I burn to the drake. I'm not too far off, so I OH the mids, nab a tackle, turn off the OH and start laying into him with the void:

http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=16865621

All of a sudden, a noobship goes red:

http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=17067261

Turns out, he was trying to pick up the ore I stole while I was fighting. Both noobships do it again and again. It's important to note that throughout the fight, these two pilots kept coming back in over and over again to grab the ore out of the can that I stole, all while their friends were fighting for them:

http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=17067259
http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=17067260
http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=17067258
http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=17067257

Things get interesting here after the cane and drake go down. Local spike of corpies gets me even more excited. I felt like a cheap hooker as I took it all with a smile on my face:

http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=17067254
http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=17067255
http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=17067256
http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=16865620

After all that nonsense, I have a buddy waiting to try and whore in on the hilarity. He equips his hurricane with one shield maintenance bot, and as the last guy comes back to engage me in a brutix, he drops in and uses the drone on me. By this time, I had the brutix tackled, drones dead, and he is landing zero hits. So when my buddy's cane went red to the target, I figured the guy freaked and started shooting him as he was unable to hit me:

http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=16771698

Good fights were had in local, and they didn't take it too hard (except for the trash-talking done by the noobship pilots). As we were about to leave the belt, I see a red warp in:

http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=17067253

Makes sense to want to nab that ore, as noobships are free right? Roll

I've just finished this thread and love it. I've been paying for a few months and decided almost right away that pve can kiss my ass. I don't play often and can't afford to waist time running plexes & shooting defenseless rocks. I can't post any cool stories or tears (yet) cause I suck pretty bad. I'm learning to fight on the fly and have a dismal 3:30 kill loss ratio (that's an exaggeration...I don't actually know how many losses I have) but I'm starting to pick things up and am determined to be a competent pirate. KM's to come...as soon as I figure out how to kill some one.

So i'm not that good at talking about facts that happened in the past, but i hope this "story" will be enjoyable anyways.

I was roaming around in my Talos, in Ordion (0.5) looking for miners to harass. I find on d-scan some mining barges and a navitas on a belt, so i warp there and start looting their wrecks. Unfortunately the wrecks were all of one guy that wasn't in the corp with the other 2 guys, so i got aggro only on him.

He doesn't even lock me so i think that i'd better change belt, but here's the best part, before warping off 2 catalyst's from a corp that was probably enemy to the corp of this guy (they weren't war decced but these guys probably hate each other) land on grid and start shooting to the miner i got aggro on. I immediately mwd versus them and get the final blows before concord pops them. I then go back to my bumping, and harassing the other miner with his mate in the navitas. A hauler warps in and the miner drops a cargo container, i immediately loot it and a falcon warps in , and perma jams me.

I mwd away and the retriever launches drones at me. I decided to warp off and go back to the belt after getting some cap back. I come back and an arbitrator is on grid with the miner still mining and still red (I was 100km from belt). Arbitrator cloaks and waits. I mwd away and warp to the cargo container i dropped before warping off (i forgot to say it lol) and i'm 3km from the miner. I immediately scramble and engage him, and after some time the arbitrator comes near and engages me (He didn't have neuts loll), i get half shields and pop the retriever, pop the arbitrator, and in comes the falcon.

I pop the falcon (his jam failed after the first cycle) and in comes a drake, my tank was already down so i decided to mwd away from him, too bad he had a long range point and hml's, so i pop. I would probably have taken him if i managed to rep somehow, 3 month old char in a mining corp, hmm :P . Was an awesome fight and i thank all the guys that took part in it.

well figure after years of evil doing and general abuse i should let u all in on my weekend of fun ;p (also wall of text so bring supplies before starting)

having gotten bored of earning the iskies day tripping in wh's i jumped into the ever faithful stabber fleet and started rolling through my canflipping hunting grounds..

seeing a osprey with a can ina belt on scan i quickly bombed into the belt and gave him a lil *nudge* out of the way to examine his can..happily stock full so a quick flip into my own can and a job well done...then i add his corp as red to see how many im possibly about to fight... local goes red...craptastic this could be interesting..osprey warps off without a word..sit there for a few min watching the Dscan as ship after ship goes by...which is there corp.. whats going to come in..then 3 ships pop on scan which are happily named (nice of them) all 3 part of the newly red corp..thrasher/coercer and a harby..
both dessies land and aggro on landing...not wanting to miss out on bc kill i act like a bunny caught in headlights and do nadda...slowly letting the sheilds go down..harby lands (finally) and aggros..beam hits start showing...beams...disgusting..game on then. tight orbit for harby quick scram to keep him there then 2 volleys apiece for dessies sees them pop..
http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=17680899
http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=17680892

pop pop.. love that noise.. then start to work on harby which also drops crazy fast..
http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=17680895
guess that be why... oh well.. not satisfied i carry on hunting for what seems like ages...then a covetor with a can out comes on scan...a named can..the holy grail for flippers that one... quick bump/flip sees a nice 5mil can of kernite in my possesion (im rich!!) covetor also buggers off without a word...unsure if its the norm but rage in local is becoming far to rare...still..figure i would wait timer out.. keep an eye on D..legion...named...dafuq...that could be intersting..check his history and he is around same age..this is more like it ;p.. legion lands and starts shooting..first few volleys see my shields disappear faster than the french ina war...but no matter...we shall not give in...its a freackin legion after all..orbit assumed and he is barely hitting me now..this is when i notice no points or webs are coming from him...strange...could he be to excited or incensed with rage? either way his armour is bleeding away far to quickly so im waiting for the armour reps to start....and wait... still waiting..he is in hull.... and boom...by this time im giggling like a school girl after hearing a dirty joke...give the guy a wave in local and check the km....
http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=17680885
.. he came out...to save a 5mil can...with that...im not even sure what that is..props to the guy though for trying...

after this i decided to try and suicide my self for a lol kill...so out came the procuror...which if any1 has taken a gander at lately is feckin nails...nearly as much ehp as a shield cane..seeing a mining op going on with no orcas on scan i quickly warp to belt ...bm the nearest can.. take a quick glance at the swarm of drones..and warp off.. *fix banzai hat in place* CHARGE!...manage to grab a nice chunk of ore into the hold *handy that* locks start coming in....no one warp's off though always a nice sign...then the first one goes red... retriever right next to me (which is helpful as no prob mod makes this thing slower than asthmatic ant with a heavy bag of shopping) so web/scram goes on and out come my drones...he hits half shields quickly...then my overview goes red...metricf**kton of drones come pilling at me... hulks/covetors/mach's all aggroing..all out of range though *cunning buggers* mr retri u will have to do.. he hits armour as my sheilds start screaming at me... my armour disapears just behind his ..come on dcu we can pull it off! already aligned out waiting for the pop...something explodes and im warping... no waiting.. 11%hull left...check the kill log..
http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=14881500
typically by time i get into station and reship to try and catch the others they have gone to station themselves and refuse to come out.. (shock)

more to come as i seem to have a few targets to pick on...hopefully try to get more barge on barge km's ;p thanks for reading

I warp into three different astro fields and saw, three times in a row, afk miners being killed by rats. I was sad though...I didn't get to kill anything...just got to watch as they died.

I moved recently in Kheram (0.4), which is a lowsec-border system near Providence, to try something different.

On day I noticed quite a few ships on dscan : thanatos, navy scorp, legion. I dscan' them and found them... in a belt.
Some guy was clearing the belts with that little fleet. And by "clearing", I mean "switching the legion for a salvaging coercer once the NPCs are all dead, including the fregates" (and it's not like you can find something else than fregates in a 0.4).

Sadly I hadnt move my PVP assets nearby so I was only in my little hawk (and I really doubt I could have killed that sutff solo anyway). I was on grid but they didnt try anything against me, and finally docked up.

One week later... The guys are back in the belts. I asked a few buddies around and finally found some interested pirates, that burned 30j to catch it (while saying "it must be a trap, nobody is that dumb"). Sadly the carrier docked up a mere ~30s before the trap was ready. Doh'.

2 days ago... I'm still in Kheram. I went afk 10mn and found that 1) the thanatos pilot is in local 2) 3 local pirates have a GCC. I hastly went to get my e-bushido falcon that was next door and proposed them my help.
I didn't notice it during the fight, but it seems that the carrier pilot (well, the carriers pilots since he had a new toy) try to logoffski at some point.

Anyway, a few things are sure :
- These were badly fit, especially the archon.
- that guy left the area after this mess ehehe.
- 2 carriers basically died from an amargeddon, a machariel and a sleipnir (I didnt do much and the other ships on the BR reship'd to get the pod).

Good fight.
