EveVegas 2012! October 5-7, 2012 (4/4/12 Updated with casino information!)

Do you remember EveVegas 2011?

If you went it may be a bit of a blur, but I assure you that you had a lot of fun!

We are currently in negiotations with the casinos for EveVegas 2012, bigger and better than 2011. Also, according to the Mayans the last EveVegas ever!

For those of you wondering, no we didn't make money on EveVegas 2011. CCP and I both lost money but it's time for double or nothing! It's guaranteed to work! Right?

Update 4/4/12: For those not following on facebook/twitter (which we recommend) we have signed the contract with the Casinos and we are officlally on. I am looking at 6 CCP Speakers and 6 player speakers for this years agenda. As soon as I get our group reservation codes from the casino I will be doing a ticket sales in waves.

Update 2/24/12: Eve Vegas 2012 will be held at the Paris Las Vegas Casino and Resort On October 5-7, 2012.

How many people showed up last year? I would prefer October as Vegas is a good place to get some sun when other parts of the country are cooling down. Vegas in July kind of stinks if you are planning on doing anything other than hiding out in an air-condtioned casino.

We had 186 tickets sold, add to that CCP employees and speakers/volunteers we had around 200.

I'll keep your comments in mind!

Any word on CCP participation for this year's event?

Offhand, October works better here unless there's a big difference in room rates.

I'll be there if it's weekend before BlackHat like last year. Less likely if it's in october.

As one of the attendees that came from further afield, I can say it was well worth the long haul. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and I think EVE Vegas 2.0 helped to reinvigorate my affection for EVE Online after the difficult post-Incarna period.

As one of the most significant EVE calender events beside Fanfest, I think it would be best positioned at the sixth-month mark between Fanfests as the premier EVE meet on US soil - October is pretty close to that. In that way it could eventually grow to compliment (and compete with) Fanfest and give diehard EVE fans more event options.

This is of course assuming that EVE Vegas is in it for the long haul.

2011 was very well done. July is great. Son's birthday is in October so as long as there isn't a date conflict with that I'll be there.

Oh I am so down! July would work best for me as it is less likely to get in the way of school, but to be honest I'll have trouble making any weekend work. I don't think I'll have anything to present on though given how badly I botched it last time, especially since the lawyer wasn't exactly a hard act to follow.
