You're an incursion runner, I'm guessing. Of course Incursion runners would say this.

Are these legions fitted with a cloak/drone or with the neut subsystem? Most likely not. I will reiterate the legion isnt a bad ship, it just fails with drones/cloak and the neut subsystem is way under powered.

Eve recons vs t3:
lachesis/aruzu 20% disruptor range/level vs 10% for proteus
Huginn/rapier 60% web range/level vs 30% for loki
Curse: 20% amount/level 40% range/level pilgrim 20% amount/level legion 10% amount/level
Caldari: ecm is bad mmmkay

as you can see t3 get half strength bonus in addition to losing the secondary ewar bonus. No big deal til you get to the curse vs pilgrim, where the pilgrim loses the range bonus. So the legion is a half bonused pilgrim. This is simply weak. Make the legion a half bonused curse with 20% range/level. Simple enough. Did I mention merging covops and drone sub? Blink

Yeah tbh for me Id sooner see it be a t3 pilgrim rather than a t3 curse, though tbh both would have wickedly fun implications. But to have only half the pilgrims drain amount and THEN either a cloak or drones for dps severally gimp it for any cross over playing style. IE if you know how to fly a curse or a pilgrim well or do so you can then create a t3 version like you can with the other t3s. Atm it lacks in dps to make it a nice platform, and creating an ashimmu variant with guns isnt an answer either as its only HALF of that as well due to the ashimmus bonuses. So its just gimped all around.

Merging the cov ops/drone or giving the cloak sub a drone bay would effectively create at least ONE alternative to the DPS issue while still cementing the curse as the range platform and the pilgrim as a heavier neuting platform. So youd be trading the tank of a t3 for the full range or neuting power of the recons.

Have you heard anything I've said?

Eternus is right on the money. There is no denying the current combination of drone, cloak and neut subsystems simply doesnt work as intended. Its quite schizophrenic in terms of fitting plus the sadface neut bonus.

range is a major issue here. Cant say i use lasers, so its either HAMS or HML's for myself. my heavies suck with a slow rof, but hit well at range or smaller targets. HAMS suck due to small range ( or flight time ) & against small targets.

lasers use cap & track poor, & drones......


..... well, i dont even get a drone bay on my current setup. so i cant even make up some lost DPS that way either Roll

You should give lasers another go, you wont be disappointed. And HML on a legion?

I love my Legion. I use it 90% of the time. For me the problem with it is the e-war sub, as people have mentioned. The Proteus and the Loki can effectively fit a full tank, deal full dps, and make excellent use of their e-war sub simultaneously. The Legion and the Tengu can't. Is it a deal breaker? No, not really. But it's something I wouldn't mind seeing addressed. Frankly, the Legion is underrated and being underestimated is the best part of flying one.

I don't always post on the forums, but when I do, I post with my main.
