Hi. I am looking to set up a POS in HiSec and get perfect refines, so i want to raise my personal standings with Gallente from its current 3ish to 7ish. At how many missions am i looking here? In what timeframe is that doable? Is it doable with lvl3s or are lvl4s a must?

First . . . Before you put up a POS, at least spend a couple weeks in a noob corp where the two month old "veterans" can tell you how to PvE

Second . . . If you want fast faction standing gains you don't run regular missions . . . run cosmos missions and data center missions

How long will it take. 3 ->7 can easily be done in 8-12 hours of gameplay if you have the ISK to buy the Cosmos Items/Tags off the market (about 250 million if you are going for Gallente/Minmattar - 500 Million for Amarr/Caldari)

Can't really place a time frame due to having too many variables involved.

To anchor a POS in high security requires your corporation to have unmodified Faction standing equal to or above the system security level. The easiest way to gain Faction standing is to complete missions for various Event Agents.

Will the tags already get me there from 3 to 7? I have the relevant social skills at 4.
If they raise my standings that much, i have no problem at all with paying a few hundred mill for them.

The short answer . . . no you have to do the COSMOS and DATA CENTER missions to get up to 7

I did all the datacenter for minmatar and it brought em from 3.89 to 5.1 standing for minmatar. But I had to do amarr also as that declined also so if I didn't do those I think it would have brought me to 5.5.

So yes by doing the COSMOS and datacenter agents you standing will go up fast - very fast. But watch out for the opposite standing as that will go down !

COSMOS are very good for standings increase. In particular Minmatar/SOE are very good. There don't seem to be so many Gallente ones available. Note that doing the ones for Thukker Tribe will reduce your standings as they are regarded as criminals.

Personally I didn't think handing in tags to data centers gave that much standing increase. I handed in,I think, 20 Bronze and found the increase less than from a storyline mission. I would rather save them up and hand in for faction ship bpc's. Smile
