Has there been any real update for walking in stations yet?

Crucible 1.1 broke my CQ, so not much of an update there.

Wasn't using it anyway but my alts who haven't logged in for a while are set up to use it and I have to disable "Load Station Environment" to change their skills before selecting the character at login screen.

I joined EVE BECAUSE I love Scifi and because of the promise of Walking in Station

I keep playing EVE becasue I love the CURRENT Flying in Space gameplay

EVE doesnt need walking in stations to survive

But if EVE wants more than 350,000 players and have SIGNIFICANT growth, it needs to have Avatar based gameplay.

I'm just frustrated there's so many wonderful recolors of the Nex items that were made for Incarna and we still can't use, and at this rate we'll never be able to get them.

Forget walking in stations .....

Much more important is a mirror in my supercap & a better range of Ladies Boots

I wasn't here for Incarna, glad I wasn't actually. An expansion centered around the worst microtransaction implementation I've ever seen combined with no-gameplay no-customization no-real-point CQ deserved the tepid response it got.

That doesn't mean WiS should be dead forever though - I still think a good implementation of WiS will bring a lot of people to EvE who don't want to be a spaceship. That means actual gameplay as well a robust method of customizing your quarters and toon that is only partially based on microtransaction items (the key is to remember that microtransaction items will never, ever be prestigious or desirable in their own right, and are valuable only as a baseline or accessory to items garnered in-game). I've seen good implementation of player housing in other games, EvE is most definitely not one of them.

We will probably see these improvements around the time DUST 514 comes out.

From release, EVE was promised to become the ultimate SciFi simulator and experience. At the time it was only spaceships and market, but the promise was to continuously expand on the game and add ability to interact with planets, fight on planets etc. anything and everything you would expect to see in scifi and we understood that it would take years to achieve this.

8+ years later we have already seen parts of this vision come to be, and I hope in the future all the rest becomes a reality as well.

But demanding that the game remain static as a space ship game only forever is not only counter to the original vision, but shortsighted and boring.

CCP can catch up on spaceship improvements now, then bring in the rest when it is ready.

I want both. I don't see why the game has to focus on one aspect. Eventually it'll allow people to specialise. Some may choose to stay in space, others may choose to spend all their time in stations heck others may just play nothing but DUST.

The essential thing to focus on is bridging all these aspects of the game so that one doesn't exclude the other in anyway.
