Uh start a black market account trading? Google...

The market doesn't support items that disappear after X amount of time?
Iv heard of special implants made for new players do exactly that.

Reverse redeem system?
Care to fill us in on that one?

Buddy reward program is awesome, keeping new players playing for more then 3 months gets em hooked!

Trading got ALLLLLLOT of love this time around, have you seen how many bots supposedly got wasted, Keep reporting!
PLEX is purchased by people from CCP with real money, this money is used to give CCP employees money to feed their families.
PLEX is either consumed horded or SOLD to another player for ISK, the buyer usually Consumes the PLEX shortly thereafter.

PLEX can also be HORDED in vast quantities, making it A. Hard for CCP to keep track of every single PLEX, B Raises prices, to make a profit, Just like every single other manipulation attempt works.

Buy out say 1000000 Tech 2 425MM guns at say 500K, then raise the price to 5,000K per gun and now you can sell your 1000000 425's at more the 500K per gun, the same thing can be done with PLEX, I dont have to spoon feed this ty any one, the System is obviously OBSOLETE and needs updating to eve online's current state of subscribers.

This is a game with different forms of currencies of different nations and universes, this, is not Skype, this is not earth, this is a game for us and business for whoever keeps the game fun for us.

What are all, if Any consequences will there be by making each individual PLEX have a 3-6 month experation date?
What about time codes?

Then in about 3-6 months plex prices would get really interesting Twisted

The main one is what the market interface would look like.

There would be one market for PLEX expiring on Jun 10,
There would be another market for PLEX expiring on Jun 11,
There would be another market for PLEX expiring on Jun 12,
There would be another market for PLEX expiring on Jun 13,

and so on and so on. This is because each PLEX would be a separate item, with a unique expiration date. If PLEX lasted 6 months there would be 180 markets for PLEX at each station. It would be a hideous nightmare.

Even if the expiration date was rounded off to the nearest month, that is still 6 different types of PLEX on sale at every station.

Thats a very good argument, Implementing "Expiration dates" goods specifically for the ingame market isnt a simple matter.
I wouldn't want to see them taken off the market, as quite a few actual players out there make ISK from yet another item to trade.

Maybe I will update my answer if I come up with something, hopefully some one will have a moment of genius and let us in on a simple and effective way to deal with instability of PLEX.

What about more plex variants ie 15 day versions or 7 day versions that are inherently cheaper and could act as middle ground when the **** hits the fan and help regulate prices via more mobile plex competition. Or even 50/50 plexes wher 15days is isk 15 days real cash....

Something similar crossed my mind earlier today.

CCP has no obligation whatsoever to allow you to play the game with ingame money.

PLEX's are not here to be distributed freely among the masses, this isn't a Free2Play MMO afterall.

And the "Mini"-plex idea has been propagated many times.
Aurum should be made into µPLEX and that should be a 1 day pilot license or something like that.

Here's an idea:

First, make PLEX not be an item. How many you have is just a number in your wallet, like ISK or AURUM.

Next, have PLEX bought and sold on a special New Eden wide market. Just one market for all of the game. Now we could have a separate market entry for PLEX that expires in one month, another for 2 months, for 3, and so on without excessive market complexity.
Make it so each player can decide what happens when their PLEX expires. There would be 2 choices: converts to AURUM, or extends the subscription.
This New Eden wide market could be used for other items, such as AURUM, and a real stock market.

The downside is no more funny killmails with a zillion PLEX lost.

CCP keynote "you can buy a NVIDIA card with PLEX". Twenty PLEX for a GTX 560.

Which is going to drive up the cost of PLEX in-game... (which kind of goes against CCP's goal of reducing demand).
