Hi there!

At some point in the future, once I've got both the ISK and the skills, I'm planning to buy a freighter, most likely a Providence as I'm already skilled in Amarr Industrials, to expand my hauling business. (Plus it looks awesome). However I have no idea how to get hold of one thats decently priced, because the ones in my station cost around 1.3 billion, and when i run the numbers it only costs around 900ish mil to build, which is a hell of a markup. So does anyone know any capital building services that can make freighters on demand for a fair price?

Like I said, I'm not looking to buy right away, but anyone who can put me in contact with a service would be a great help :) I just want to find some sort of price range for me to aim for.

Tl;dr Anyone know a capital building company?

Buy a built Providence in Jita and AFK it to where you want in hisec.

For a small fee, I'll happily buy and deliver one to you anywhere in hisec (hisec islands excluded).

Crossroads sells via contracts at decent (for the purchaser) prices - Valerie(sp?) normally has a thread within the first couple of pages in the sell order forum.

Giving business to the competition, meh.

Jita sell orders for provs are currently around 945 or so, a bit volatile, their "natural" price according to mineral prices should probably be a bit higher but that's one for the market to decide.


And whilst markups for freighters look awesome, as I regularly point out - a 100m markup on a freighter will typically work out at around 3m profit per manufacturing slot per day. Any T1 builder will tell you that this is diabolically atrocious profit.

Actually that's a decent markup considering how long it takes to build it and the skills required to build it.

However if you check the major trade hubs you'll find them cheaper. I'm not sure about Jita, but in Rens (where I'm based) and pretty much anywhere in the Heimatar region you see them going for about 940 million.
