CSM for linux player?

I'm playing this game since the linux client was announced for the Trinity release (winter 2007), and I always played on linux since then.

I've seen the rise and fall of the "native" client. I've seen WINE make incredible progress, I've seen and experienced most of the woes of the WINE compatibility layer, in Gentoo and Ubuntu, on Gnome and KDE, and how most patches/expansions broke things that the took WINE devs weeks to fix - if at all.

Said that, I don't see how voting a CSM candidate that has such a narrow plaftorm to build upon would be benefitting our "cause". Check the vote tallies of past election, when we had (and voted!) a linux/osx candidate. If he ran for the greater glory of destroyer pilots, he'd get more votes! :P

I think it's far more productive to lobby the candidates and ask them support for our griefs once elected.

And no, me being in the third largest alliance in the game, and having clear "voting guidelines" (both for our candidate, our allies, our alts in case the voting turnout goes above a certain threshold, etc. - political metagaming at its finest) isn't the reason why I'm suggesting to drop a candidacy and be more annoying with our needs toward the candidates who actually stand a chance to talk vis-a-vis with CCP.
