How the chat button should work

First the chat button should not blink ever.

Second, when a group of chats is minimized, the group of chats should go into the chat button. Mousing over the chat button should show you the groups of chats that are minimized. the behavior should be the same if the group of chats contains a required chat or not. If multiple groups of chats are minimized, there should be multiple groups to choose from. These groups can blink CCP if you must. but remember the first part of this post with respect to the chat button itself.

Third, to maximize a group of chats, one should be able to drag their mouse to the group of chats and click it.

Forth, clicking on the chat button itself should bring up the Channels window where chats are opened and sometimes even closed.

I deleted mine by putting it a group and deleting the group

WoW holds your hand until end game, and gives you a cookie whether you win or lose. EVE not only takes your cookie, but laughs at you for bringing one in the first place...
