We all love EFT(or eve hq)

But here I am, not on my home PC wondering if I can cram a 1600mm plate onto a given ship.
A web based EFT would be a great thing to have.

Be a nice addition to your web page.

Could tie into the API servers and be an option once logged in. Being able to import fits from text would also be really nice.

FYI CCP does not run EFT. Ask the people who do. (I don't know who they are, Google it)

I know....EFT is a stand alone program.

Asking for a CCP version hosted on CCP's web site. Could even use the in game fitting window. Asking for the ability to conceptually fit a ship out side of the game and see if it woudl fit and maybe pull some numbers from it.

Would asking for the EvE fitting window and a list of available modules to put into the fitting window be made such that it could be manipulated by a web browser be better and more to your approval?

Why would CCP go and do work to replace an already existing and perfectly functional third party system?

First off, IIRC, EFT doesn't require any registry entries, so you should be able to just drop it onto a flash drive and just run it from there. Second, if you want an online version, either code it yourself or talk to the people who did make EFT/PyFa/EveHQ and ask them to release a browser-based version. It's not CCP's responsibility to improve on third-party tools that the community has made.

Not to mention the fact that, in the same way they'd never develop their own kill board, this would probably be cutting into a business partners revenue streams. These sites and developers advertise eve, sell eve time codes and provide third party apps such as this in order to generate more hits. It doesn't strike me as being in CCPs best interests to compete with them.
