To put it bluntly, the farming of incursions was only possible because incursion runners had set up a system of treaties/agreements that allowed it. Now that a new set of players have appeared that have no interest in joining your cartel, you somehow feel entitled to force them to play ball. Whether by whining to CCP or by holding the entire game hostage. This attitude does not reflect well on you and your friends.

In other words, you are jumping the shark that will sharply turn public opinion against you.

well said,

isnt that the same argument the care bears said to the so called "pvpers"

"why you forcing me to play your way, i just want to do things the way I want it"

The truth is Incursions have been live for over a year now. so you've got to ask yourself, "why now?"

Why is it that the money made is suddenly an issue now?.... Because 0.0 citizens fund their insane amount of accounts with just plex, from the ISK they make from being 0.0-bears.

Incursions caused inflation, suddenly 0.0 guys cant afford it.. or must work even harder... so they go to run incursions on their alts (and damn they have a lot) and perpetuate their own problem.

so unfortunately this action wouldn't work, because in truth, its 0.0 people who have all this isk in the first place and they already have 10x as much isk you have.

Even if Plex rose to 1bil each... 0.0 bears would still be able to keep all their accounts active... even if incursions were completely removed.

So in the end, you couldnt convince 'incursion bears' to part with their money, because incursion bears ARE 0.0 bears and this idea of closing down incursions is merely a power play from 0.0 bosses who are seeing their income slowly being eroded.

I'm pretty sure the people closing down the incursions are the null sec "leaders" who are sick of seeing their mandatory CTAs unheeded while their subjects are up in hisec vacuuming up all that cheap ISK. They try to apply more pressure on people to attend CTAs, which only results in more people heading to hisec to run incursions. So now they're sick of beating their subjects with that stick, they're off to hisec themselves to beat their subjects with another stick.

I wonder if these "leaders" might have a better retention and CTA attendance rate if they were a little nicer to their subjects, and arrange for greater social interaction rather than trying to run their null sec alliance like the military of a dictatorship?

Likewise, but for T2 frigate rigs. I've got a ton of cash tied up in those, and guaranteed losing money becuse of oversupply and little or no demand. Maybe the new AFs will help; but it probably wouldn't hurt if you bought all the small T2 rigs off the market in Jita.

Oh so it's absolutely FINE for people to disrupt and damage my gameplay decisions, but when I try to do the same to them within the game mechanics it's suddenly a big problem?

I doubt 10 trillion isk will do as much damage as you think it will.

You missed the part where I used a plural. Whilst referring to just my channel. CCP alone know how many hoarders there are in BTL and TDF, or even the little guy who wants to help out with his 500m, it all adds up and having a pretty solid grasp of the market, ya know, having daytraded for the past 8 years, I think you under underestimating what a reckless injection of 10 trillion ISK alone is capable of doing to prices.

The artificial ISK stabilizers were removed when shuttles stopped being seeded. And making mining carebears rich is fine by me if it means that PvPers and gankbears are buying their ships at triple prices.

lol

First you have to get them all to actually invest there isk into something other than commander and complex mods, if you even manage to do that, somebody has attempted it before, you are not the first. One attempted to crash the trit market by injecting a trillion isk worth of the stuff onto the market. It drove down prices for a few days but then the market rebalanced. You can try to manipulate the market by buying up all the stock in a particular area, all that will happen is the industrialists will notice and start pumping out whatever will make them the most profits and all you'll end up doing is losing isk on your investment Roll

I have a feeling that the OP doesn't really understand the way Eve markets work, and if he did get his hypothetical "tens of trillions" of isk and tried to destroy the market, he would be very disappointed and very broke.

I find it amusing how I keep seeing thread after thread saying that High Sec doesn't matter and that High Sec players have no influence on the game, all High Sec players are scrubs and if they all left nobody would miss them and yet here we are with a null sec alliance (don't know how important or big Brick Squad are in the grand scheme of things) seeming put out by a bunch of meaningless High Sec players.

Like I said, find it amusing is all

Modules that are seeded into the economy by CCP creates artificial price stabilizers across the hi-sec mineral markets in the event that any prices are purposefully manipulated, IIRC.

So, in short, if I remember that right, this plan would be shot in the foot after a certain level and you would have spent a lot of ISK to make all the other mining carebears a lot richer... If all the mining corps and individuals got richer maybe they would finally buy some PVP ships and form up to go claim some sov space?

... OMG, do it do it do it.

What makes you think someone skilled in mining would goto 0.0 for pvp, mining lazer hits perfectly extracting 0.0 minerals mmmk

I wonder if this isn't an alt of Brick Squad attempting to turn popular opinion against the incursion runners, in which case, well played.

If this is actually one of the entitled incursion bears making this sort of threat, I think you have a pretty good idea from the responses how things will go for you if you even attempt this. Plus, as mentioned, you'd turn a lot of players against you, which you have already to some extent.

And with that thought I suggest this as your theme tune as you go on with your day:

1) I wish you best of luck in, and I'm grinning as I write this, "Holding the markets ransom".
2) Won't this effectively just prove that the "nerf incursions" guise were right all along - Incursion runners make too much?
3) mfw
4) You want to get the guys you consider "the bad guys" by ******* the markets up for everyone? Why not, oh I don't know, stop abusing a borked game mechanic and start farming in low-sec, where you can fight the competition? Then you would at least punish the people you want, not everyone.
5) I don't have words.
