What type of date format is that? Why don't you stick to ISO if you have an international game? I really recommend you to check the different standards for calendar dates, for beginners this is sufficient:

CCP: If you're going to make up your own confusing date standards, at least do it with style. I personally suggest YDMD.MY.YY!

Seriously? how much dumbing down do you have to do? Cmon CCP EvE's variety and complexity is what makes it what it is and what we love, if i want a game thats beatable by a 3 yr old i will play farmville.

I'm sorry but the current way that the modules/ammo/guns/implants/boosters and all are "named" are a complete cluster-F.

I've been playin' this game quite a while and unless you have a stellar memory trying to remember what each name is in regards to what you want is almost impossible.

Having to show info on every single module to find the right one for the right circumstance is a huge time sink. I applaud the renaming...

When you use a certain group of modules/ammo/implants a lot, you do memorize the names and become familiar with the nomenclature. You become specialized in those areas. It makes sense that when you go outside your specialization that you have to put more effort into it.

And that helps the new player experience how? I get your point, but you shouldn't have to get a degree in eve module naming 101 in order to figure out what modules and other stuff you want to fit to your ship or your Eve character. The current naming schema makes absolutely no logical sense.

I applaud the renaming; it'll cause a lot less confusion for the new players, and for the old players that just want a quicker way to sift through the module lego box.

The storage capacity on all Planetary Interaction storage pins has been increased from 5000m3 to 12000m3 so that it may better compete with the space port.

It's a start, but still doesn't make the storage pins useful on harvest planets (which are PG-constrained). You would also need to cut their PG usage in half.

They'll become moderately useful on factory planets, but I suspect that LPs will still win out because it's 10x easier to use an LP. Especially when you're moving product on/off the planet every day anyway.

/me sends a thesaurus to iceland. A kinetic trauma I get when i drive too fast with bicycle against garage door. a psychological when i sometimes read the patch notes :P . Nova comes from stella nova and describes a nuclear fusion process, ok the explosion might be an result so that is acceptable a bit, but still the word 'new missile' (nova=new) comes to mind lol.

The new (and old) player needs better interface to help with researching all the different items. Modules and ships have the 'variations' tool to compare item stats, and so should all the other items. That's just for starters.

Part of EVE's draw is its complexity, and that includes the different naming schemes for different item groups. Additionally, some of those names are now part of EVE history. Simplifying the nomenclature leads to creating a blander game in the name of some theoretical "new player" with bad memory and low abstract thinking ability. This is detrimental to the game, especially since that kind of player isn't going to stay long anyway.

Sounds to me as if your dumbing down the new player, suggesting they could not cope with what every one else has had to do sofar.

All Tech 2 blueprints will no longer have market entries. Any blueprint that's ever been used for manufacturing or research cannot be listed on the market, which is assumed to apply to all T2 BPOs, and having a market entry for them is causing showinfo to have a "view market details" button rather than "find in contracts".

what? Pirate

Blander naming is bad m'kay? Sure, some names are really bad but CCP... you clearly can't come up with better names! Trauma, Nova? Wtf is that ****, I don't even...

They are removing the T2 Blueprints from the market so that instead of "view market details" in the show info window of a tech 2 blueprint instead says "find in contracts".

Patch notes missing info about renames of some propulsion modules:

"Quad LiF Fueled Booster Rockets" => "Prototype 100MN MicroWarpdrive I"
"LiF Fueled Booster Rockets" => "Experimental 100MN Afterburner I"
"Phased Monopropellant I Hydrazine Boosters" => "Upgraded 1MN Microwarpdrive I"
"Catalyzed Cold-Gas Arcjet Thrusters" => "Limited 1MN MicroWarpdrive I"
"Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon Microwarpdrive" => "Experimental 10MN MicroWarpdrive I"
"Monopropellant Hydrazine Boosters" => "Limited 1MN Afterburner I"
"Cold-Gas Arcjet Thrusters" => "Experimental 1MN Afterburner I"
"Y-S8 Hydrocarbon Afterburners" => "Experimental 10MN Afterburner I"

This is what I don't get..

Here it goes all well with the naming. The names are consistent and appropriate.

"LiF Fueled Booster Rockets" => "Experimental 100MN Afterburner I"
"Y-S8 Hydrocarbon Afterburners" => "Experimental 10MN Afterburner I"
"Cold-Gas Arcjet Thrusters" => "Experimental 1MN Afterburner I"

Ok, this works too I guess. I've always seen this module as the awkward one nobody talks about.
"Monopropellant Hydrazine Boosters" => "Limited 1MN Afterburner I"

Then this **** happens. Experimental, limited and prototype MWD? Make them all prototype I say!
"Quad LiF Fueled Booster Rockets" => "Prototype 100MN MicroWarpdrive I"
"Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon Microwarpdrive" => "Experimental 10MN MicroWarpdrive I"
"Catalyzed Cold-Gas Arcjet Thrusters" => "Limited 1MN MicroWarpdrive I"

And the awkward one.
"Phased Monopropellant I Hydrazine Boosters" => "Upgraded 1MN Microwarpdrive I"

If the point was to make is simpler to search for the correct modules in the market, what's the reason behind these names?

while (CurrentSelectedTarget.Status == ShipStatus.Alive) {

     _myShip.FireAllGuns(CurrentSelectedTarget);

}

Meta 1 - Upgraded
Meta 2 - Limited
Meta 3 - Experimental
Meta 4 - Prototype

Named by rarity I think.

This is just weird. Even "Kinetic" is a better new name for this kind of missile, thought I do understand why it wasn't chosen (though by that logic why change any of the names??). How about using objects that cause kinetic damage to come up with a replacement name? Here's some examples: meteor, arrow, dart, spear, etc. There are enough options out there that you didn't have to chose a name that causes so much psychological trauma through cringing.

Edit: by the way, this is an otherwise an excellent patch that in content and fixes rivals some of the pre-Crucible 'expansions'. So great job!

Why this awkward change ?
YYYY:DD:MM it's like an american standard. Ugly just like their imperial system. Should i say it's useless, as well ?

1. Why this format ? It's that practical ? It's that easy to read and comprehend ?

2. DD:MM:YYYY It's the way to go. YYYY should be on last place because it doesn't change so often like DD or MM.
And not to add that this awful change will send all people who didn't read the patch notes into haze.

This change have to be the stupidest change from the new CCP.

YYYY:MM:DD = ISO 8601
Americans have MM:DD:YYYY sequence.

Maybe ISO 8601 was chosen like compromise?
