Actually, YYYY:MM:DD is the best since it retains date order after being sorted by simple algorithm that only looks at character codes. Very handy for naming files and directories or any other items that are likely to be sorted by name.

YYYY:DD:MM is the abomination with no sense or purpose. Is this some kind of local Icelandic tradition to write dates like that? Because European is DD:MM:YYYY and American is MM:DD:YYYY as far as i know.

Either CCP is being fearless again (Meaning slowly advancing by plowing through waist deep snowbanks, when there is a clear and easy path going the same way a short distance to the side.) or they fudged the patch notes.

Forgive me if this has already been mentioned, haven't got time to read right back but:

I noticed in the last set of patch notes they'd decided to change all of the english spellings to a regional variation (american english). This means that all the countries in the world which use standard english english are going to be screwed up a bit for no apparent reason. I'm guessing the reformating of the date from the international standard is part of the same imposed regionalisation program :(

You're an idiot. Nothing ccp makes can damage your computer; if you built your pc, then that explains why it crashed but, based on how you define your pc problem as a "crash", you didnt build your pc, i hope. I feel bad for that pc if you did. It probably has no thermal paste, no adequate unidirection air flow, nothing.

Oh, really? Don't you remember that patch when some of system files were destroyed on some machines?
So, it's you who's an idiot here.

It was the idiot's fault for running everything as administrator. and, no you do not have to run eve or the eve patches as administrator; just give yourself permission to change/update the files in the eve root folder to propaginate.

Im not going to sit here and teach idiots how to administer their pc.

Yes, im the idiot; thats why ive never had a pc crash.

Windows 7 uptime: 129 days in RAID 5

Oh hey, btw boot.ini only effected Windows XP and Windows 2000 there is no "Run as Administrator" on it so good luck with that.

But Windows 200 does has Run as User

Patching/installing required admin rights prior to vista. Guess what, that happened before vista came out Roll

No, you didnt not have to use the computer using an administrator. DUH. you login to the admin account to install/change things and log into a regular account to play.

I've kept quiet up till now. The time has come however, for me to start complaining. Too much downtime over the last month. If it isnt extended downtime its emergency reboots. This is inadequate CCP. As customers we demand some sort of re-imbursement of funds paid to play. Be this is the form of isk/skillpoints or RL money that is your choice.

This has to be one of the roughest and most inconvinient patches made by CCP. Sort your end out, we are all sat here waiting at ours and paying YOU for the priviledge of waiting. If you want us all to slowly move over to other MMO's then keep it up. You can give us what you want all day long, the issue here is, our main want, is to actually play the game, of which we keep being denied.

In short, we want compensation for all the DT.

Awww tears. Ugh

Actually they reduced DT from 1 hour to 30 minutes quite a while ago so you got an extra 30 minutes a day maggot. Of course if the system booted with the new patch and they had one or multiple errors but deployed anyway you'd be first to open a crying thread wailing about the bugs.

Just do what you normally do in the meantime and get the poster of the Dramiel with MWDs burning from under your mattress and "amuse" yourself. By the time you come out it'll be up and running.

For those of you saying ISK/SP has no meaning here, I ask you to look back to the apoc patch as a case study. The patch then was as screwed as it is now. They gave us SP to apologise for getting it wrong. This has also happened previous to this patch too. All I am doing is drawing a correlation between the effects of this patch and previous ones.

We as customers here stand to loose, so those standing in the way of ones which are rightfully complaining, need to back down and support there fellow players, as together we have much more clout. They have given us the tools to do this and opportunity.

This is one of the worst patches yet, just cause some of you are happy to get your mods, dont make the rest of us suffer who actually want to play the game.

No, there was "run as different user" ALso it affected more than windows xp and 2000; try windows 95, 98, 3.1, 1.1, 1.11, windows for workgroups, windows NT......the list goes on.

Want some cheese and crackers to go with that whine?

I believe WOW is still an active community?

You have the nerve to even try and quote me, and then admit to playing WOW. GTFO noob.

Never played WOW a day in my life broski, stop swelling up at EVE and put that pigeon chest back and relax. It's healthy for you to take a break from playing video games =) ♥

(Just incase you still don't comprehend - your emo, much like the WOW players I have heard audio of online Twisted )
