Ice Harvesters and Strip Miners... PLEASE FIX!

So this bug isn't anything new, but it still persists in the game, and has done so for a long time... much to my annoyance.

TL;DR:

Both Strip miners and Ice Harvesters sometimes fail to drop their contents into the cargohold, and seem to be "stuck" in the modules. The only way around this, is to deactivate the module... so it gives its contents, then to start the module back up again. This doesn't happen every time, and this happens with more people than just me.

I'd appreciate a fix for this so much, and i'm sure my fellow miners would too :)
