Simple ideas for a more immersive Eve

Here's a couple of ideas that came to me while playing another mmorg that I think Eve would benefit from, and that I think are likely to be relatively simple to implement:

1) Replace the undocking/docking fuel gauge with a short cutscene of your ship leaving the station. This would mean you wouldn't see the "prepare to undock" etc. progress bar, or the docking and "loading" background. Instead you would see a short cutscene.

2) Enhance the integration of agents into the new player experience. As it stands now, the new player experience does much better to help the new player to see what's available in Eve. I think Eve could benefit from having agents contact players after the completion of the professions missions or the Sisters missions. In other words, after a player has completed the sisters epic (as an example) have a few agents send eve mails to the player saying "hey, I have some missions you could do for me". This would help the new player to be integrated into the overall eve missions system without having to figure out to use the agent finder, etc.

I think both of these ideas would help with player immersion, especially for new players. One of the hardest things in Eve (still) is what to do right after you've completed your newbie missions. Also, the cutscene would be a nice replacement for a (frankly) lame please wait bar.

Lame bump.

Maybe someone else has some simple ideas to add to these?

yeah, more eyecandy.

I like 1, just for fun and effect.. of course with an obligatory option to disable it for low-performance PCs

also 2, makes agents more "life-like". also add holographic telephone for agents in your CQ ;)
