Fleets in a Bottle

I suggest that pilots could be docked, separately inside the vessel carrying their vessel.

The procedure of docking and UN-docking of ships from the transport ship IE, Carriers, Roqual's, Orca's, etc. remains the same.
The stored vessel pilots pods would also be stored inside the transport.
When the transport dies the pods left inside die also.
No "Fleets in a Bottle" , could be put into another vessel.
Stored players can see outside like normal but have no comms in local.
Thus a fleet in a bottle could be 10 players but local only shows the one ship.

Please help me to make this idea better, thank you.

This is where I thought Carriers should come in. Not the Carriers we have, but ones for player ships we currently don't have.

I do think the pilots aboard should show up in local of course, and be capable of undocking in a hurry if needs be. Nobody will know what they're flying until they get out of course. if they fail, and the ship gets destroyed with them still onboard, then they will be floating in a pod somewhere near the pilot for however long that lasts.

It might be that a carrier like this can only hold a few Cruisers and some Frigs, with actual limited docking slots/areas specifically for them, but it would still be cool.

This is one of those ideas that falls under the category of "it's a nice idea and we would like to have it, but there are technical limitations in the way."

From what I remember, the basic physics engine of EVE (which a temperamental behemoth of coding that suicides itself and all the server hamsters at the slightest glitch) doesn't like there to be more than one player in any one ship at any given time. To alter this would be a "time consuming" task.

I should also add... this is what Titans were originally conceived of being/doing: "hive" ships that could move players within it to the front lines. The Jump Portal mod was the way around the aforementioned "technical limitations."

Well, there is all that 8 year old code that has to be rewritten; perhaps they can work it out along the way.
