Ugh... I switch all my POSes from Gallente to Minmatar a month ago because of darned goons screwing up the oxy topes prices, and now I'm watching hydrogen topes sky rocket in price!!

WTF What?

Prices in jita are already over 625. I went over to Rens to see if I could get them cheaper at the source.. NOPE, also above 600. Hek was well over 700 on sell orders. Ugh

Am I going to have to switch towers again?!?

Someone please tell me this is not Goon's Interdiction 2.0 in minmatar space? Question

Here's to hoping this is Crucible 1.1 patch speculation....

Yeah minmatar ice belt empty due to massive sucide gank ops but not by goons. It's just one guy I think, he's doing an ace job taking 3 or 4 miners out with bc in 1 go and then suciding pod in an alt cool eh.

One guy? Is that really enough to affect the markets so much?

I wonder if we are going to be looking at 1000k ice again?

When they are not being manipulated or interdicted:

Hydrogen > Oxygen > Nitrogen > Helium

Amarr towers are not very popular in hisec because they lack CPU. There are probably more Helium ice fields in hisec than any other.

Caldari towers are very popular in hisec because they have the highest CPU. Though Caldari holds far less space than Amarr, the ice fields near trade hubs are VERY active.

Gallente towers are mid-way between Amarr and Caldari. I've never really looked into the Gallente ice industry, other than avoiding Gallente space during the recent interdiction.

Minmatar towers are second to Caldari for CPU, and probably the best balanced tower. However, it seems there are more ore miners in Minmatar space than ice harvesters, based on my sales of mining equipment.

It's more then just "one guy", it's a small group of maybe half a dozen pilots. At least, based on the killboards.

They started in Abudban (near Rens).

(shrugs) This is why I keep a 4-8 month stockpile of fuel on hand. I buy when things are cheap, I can wait for low-priced buy orders to fill, or I can pick semi-safe weeks to do a spot of my own mining. And I can simply wait out any short-term price spikes.

That and I hate knowing that I *must* go mine ice or purchase some fuel or the towers will run dry this weekend. I prefer the more relaxed state of knowing that I can survive through famine, pestilence, Goon Jihads, Hulkageddons, etc.
