Just some thoughts I had after reading/responding in another thread: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=59578&find=unread

- Simulation Access Point, (related to above and specific to above):

Installable in CQ, and accessible through relays from ship/pod in station hangar, or by accessing directly in CQ. Basically, a small room off the main room, and only available in certain stations. Normally, this Access point would be unavailable, but pilots may pay to have the NPC Corporation who provides them installed. Entertainment Corporations specifically.

For Corporation or Alliance specific simulations, this serves as a pilots link to both the standard access point and through relay, to the Corporations specific Sim slot. Corporation Simulation slots are available on Stations where the Corporation has an office.

- Arcade:

Accessible from the Simulation Access point above, the arcade lets pilots in EVE explore various fictitious games and entertainments. These games are developed and designed by Corporations within the entertainment industry in EVE.

May include multi-player Mahjong, Chess, or any other number of unusual forms of entertainment.

- Where is our laptop? In-game browser access point? Shouldn't we have one of these?

Edit:

Relevent Cross-Posting:

Also, was thinking the Sim could be a NeX thing as opposed to ISK. Slots for the Sim system, and credits for it, could be purchased in NeX with AUR. This isn't a pay to win scenario, and doesn't take away from the game in any way, or exclude anyone. NeX tokens can be traded freely on the player market for ISK; and you can always find a use for your Free Aur this way.

Personal Slot on EVE-wide Simulations: 50 AUR; required to access Alliance or Corporate Slots

Corporation Slot on EVE-Wide Simulations: 500 AUR; Mirrors your Corporation over to the Simulation.

Alliance Slot on EVE-Wide Simulations: 1'000 AUR; Mirrors your Alliance over to the Simulation.

100'000'000 Credits for EVE-Wide Simulations: 50 AUR

Personal Slot on Faction Warfare Tactical Simulations: 30 AUR; Specific to each Faction, and used for training purposes.

100'000'000 Credits for Faction Warfare Tactical Simulations: 10 AUR

Corporation Specific Tactical Simulation: 3'500 AUR; Limited to Corporation.

Alliance Specific Tactical Simulation: 10'000 AUR

100'000'000 Credits for Alliance or Corporation Specific Tactical Simulation: 50 AUR

Just an idea. Would make good use of the NeX, and provide some reason to use it beyond clothing and monocles. Also, would help cover the cost of the extra development time, maintenance, and server requirements.

Feel free to freak. Big smile

edit: This one is very sketchy, and I know it's likely to be quite poorly recieved, but I'd like to hear your thoughts anyway.

Another idea, is for Training Simulations in game. Examples being POS set-up, Moon Harvesting, and various other features.

Remove the time requirements, and just allow people to experiment with configurations and use. Again, no benefits in game, but experience.

If I think of more, I'll add them here. Feel free to add your own.

Keep in mind that I have no idea what the conversion rates are for PLEX to AUR, or what NeX tokens ISK value is on the player market. Regarding the AUR scenario, the numbers are almost completely random, and based more off the free AUR I've received than anything else. This is just to present an idea of what I think the relational scale should be; rather than actual costs for each service/credit.

edit: Adjusted the Alliance EVE-Wide Simulation Access cost. It's just a mirror of the Alliance details over to the Sim.
