An Idea to increase players motivation to play more this Game

Simple add in game achievements!

Once you complete achivements you will get some form of medal or/or some kind of reword.Il make couple of examples :


Razor : Achievement Description: Destroy 100 enemy pods . Reward: medal player can put into medal tab under players info and or lets say 1000 skill points he can distribute anywhere .
Slayer : Achievement Description : Destroy 100 enemy pods : Reward : Reward: medal player can put into metal tab under players info and or lets say 1000 skill points he can distribute anywhere .

now you can put achievements for killed POS, POS structures , Station take overs.... SOV takeovers , each next will take more kills than last one and get better reward. Example agin 100 kills, 500 kills , one thousand kills... 2500 kills or 10 towers destroyed. 100 towers destroyed ... 10 system takeovers... etc etc

With this people would like to PVP more ... they will get sligh boost to SP (one can get i dont know 100 000 SP more each month MORe than a player who is not active just clickick skills)

This way player who ACTUALLY play the game not just click the skils will get slightly advantage (not a big one but still rewording one)
and he will for sure get will to play more game



What about PVE guys ? well add PVE achieevements aswell

Achievement for achiving certain faction standing... kill 10 , 100 of 10/10 plexes...
Achivement for oficier hunting : example Tuvan's nightmare :Achievement Description: Destroy 5 Tuvan's ships . Reward: medal player can put into metal tab under players info and or lets say 1000 skill points he can distribute anywhere .
and so on... Even Achivements for incursions , Factional warfare....

You guys(if i can you can also) come up with thousands of this achievements if not more and trust this will make game more playable. An people will change carriers . You may ask my why ? Well once guy deplete all achivements in high sec he will go to 0.0 to complete those achievements also , thanlowsec... than wh..... than he will try Industry to complete those achievements also . You will revive EvE alot .

You can also put a bonus to complete certain section of achivements : Example:

Oficier hunter: Kill all known Oficiers in known universe: Now reword can be again 10 000 of sp or 100 000 or meybe even some extra increase in Sec Status , or faction standing... what ever.. just make it rewarding an make it people WANT to complete that feat.


What do you think guys ?


p/s those medals would be cool if Person could be able to see them on its shoulder When he WIS

Pro-tip: Achievements do nothing to actual game play.

Its the ID10T: USER ERROR thats the problem and as far as your suggestion is to get people to do more, if you can't get your ass to do it in the first place then you don't need to be rewarded for it. EVE is all about "I can do this, just because I can" and you have to find your reason to play EVE not another person's arbritary choice that "this is, just because" they choose something. What happens when you hit it? Doesn't it get tiresome when you get the 100? 1000? 10,000? kill limit...because you will always be behind the next level and never reaching the top because once you do you need to add more, more, more! until you just get tired of it from not reaching the very end (and in EVE, there is no actual end to the game).

so you want me to as I start up an eve break soon and hit TOR to fire up eve on my macbook, shoot alts (hell I'll keep it legit if you want, not in same corp and jsut can flip in noob ships) so I too can collect sp as I see if you can take a char down to 0 sp by podding with no clone upgrades nightly as I **** around in TOR?

See why this idea is bad? Bonuses for spamming leads to abuse like this. You can't limit pod kills to say 5 per char (I know you will counter with that). Do 0.0 sometime...you see the same people on both sides since its kind of like shifts at work. Oceanic tz (what I am in) is like a small crew really. Not many of us on (well not the huge numbers of US primetime)...chance of killing the same people (or dying to them) repeatedly is real high.

Its not bad. Simple time restriction would fix this. You cant kill same player and get him count every 20 min or even one hour. So you idea would go to water because you can kill you alt once every 20 min or once every hour . And a guy who keep exploting like this 23/7 to earn 30 pod kills in pool where he needs thousand of it will complete achievement in one month and hes a hero in my eyes for dedication . Now not to mention that Eve allready have same ip/pc detector. It will detect multiple clients from same ip/pc .

Achievements already kind of exist in the form of medals and decorations you can award to your Corp members.

If people are having fun with this game then they will play it as much as they can... no need to turn eve into digital crack

If you want a medal, then show your corp ceo 1000 killmails and ask him for one.

Pvp achievements would only apply in null sec and, TBH, it wouldn't really be fun because it's too superficial and pointless. I don't want to play for achievements, I want to experience the world of Eve by doing things that actually effect the world of Eve. Achievements for pve would only fit because doing missions is already superficial and pointless. If CCP wants to get players to play the game more, they need to make it possible for players to interact with each other as we do with npcs. The stories we read about when we do missions, that's what players need to experience in the game. And the missions we do for npc agents, we should be doing for player corp agents. It should be spontaneous, not scripted.
