I am not having fun. I am WORKING for Isk. I make my self run missions and eventually stop doing them because they are so boring. Eve online has been grueling for me because of all the skills I need in order to do anything. I cant do DED sites, I cant do Incursions, I cant make ships, I cant solo pvp, I cant do anything in this game. I just cant find any thing that is enjoyable and makes me Isk. I have checked this but found nothing really. I need some help.

1. Why do you need the ISK?

2. Have you considered joining a corp with a good newbie scheme?

3. What do you want to do?

1. I need isk to make isk. For example, i want a maelstrom to be able to do incursions.

2. No?

3. I want to be able to actually enjoy the game and make more Isk. I'm interested in wormhole space, PI, Pvp scouting.

…and what do you need that ISK for? What you're saying here is more an answer to #3.

2. No?
A good corp will give you guidance, purpose, and aid. They can be tricky to find, but it's worth it.

Ok. None of that requires all that much in terms of SP — what you need is actual skills (well… aside from the PI — for that you just need a hauler and/or alts). So go do it, right now, and start learning. Let your skills grow alongside the SP.

Pfff ha I get so side tracked with skills I'm still training for core skills. Anyways i will need skills for the covert ship to scan in the wormhole, about 60 mil for a customs office gantry, a strategic cruiser that takes about 90 days. I need that Isk (by the way) for being able to buy ships.

You're aiming a bit high by the sounds of it.

You don't need any of that to get going — you can do it very soon if you just pour time into the key skills. Don't wait to do something until you are at the end, because there is a high risk that you'll end up discovering that this thing you've been aiming for isn't what you imagined it to be, and now you've trained a bunch of skills that you are no longer interested in using.

Do the stuff you're trying for while training. Pretty much everything in the game has a “starter” version that you can use as training wheels. In your case, the one exception is probably a covops-cloak ship, but it's not that long a haul: the only real kind-of-slogs are [racial] Frigate V and Electronic Upgrades V, both rank 2 skills taking ~1½ week each.

In particular, that PI gantry is something you need to plan out a bit better. Chances are you will lose it a couple of times before making it stick, and it's not really an individual investment/activity. While you might have it as some kind of end goal, play with PI using the available planets and facilities while figuring out if it's worth it.

Easiest way to block out skills and making isk is to post a fake fit in incursion channels, fly around with them being a useless liability.

Nobody will notice you completely suck at flying the ship as long as you fly the proper ship type - I suggest a Nightmare.

No risk involved as you're going to be remote-repped to hell and back and you'll easily make a billion/day - doesn't matter if you can actually do any dps - noone wil notice. Just train Amarr and Caldari BS to I, fit civillian guns and get enough isk for a supercap within a month.

Oh, thats normal. I am no some months in, and I am having fun in nullsec and still havent Standard Core skills.

??? How about a scanfrig with a Prototype cloak. Skilltime a few hours and scans good enough with a rig or two.

Fly to null or low and look for POCOs with low taxes for neutrals. I am currently at a plasma planet in null and only pay 5%. And I am not even in an ally.

I heard, for low level WH a BC is enough. Skilltime maybe a week or two. (You should be able to fly that thing good to tackle woirmhole.)

As boring as it is, this is the reason why I got into mining. Now I mine to make steady isk while train for more interesting stuff.

It's true that the isk per hour is pathetic when compared with well about anything other than running missions however if you have RL distractions (kids for example) it appears to be the best route.

If your the guy with an ungodly amount of free time and no distractions then I'd suggest going straight pvp. A rifter, afterburner and web should get you started. Just keep in mind you won't be able to do solo pvp, need a decent corp as your rifter is gonna die and often but at least you'll get a share of the loot. Keep working on skills and slowly move up the pirate ranks.

I used a T1 scanning frigate for a very long time when I was living in w-space. I ended-up living there for 2.5 years.

In fact, I still have 2 or 3 of them in my hangar (kept since I Gravity rigged them).

At racial frigate 4 skill and fitted with a prototype cloak, they are perfectly adequate.

That is really a corporate endeavor, not an individual one.

Thanks, I appreciate the help. One of the guys in my corp had told me about faking a fit in incursions already though. I'll try it.

Then the fleet disbands, everyone's blacklisted and you've burned a character with ~10d of training on it.

To do what with?

You need isk to:

1: Buy ships.
2: To make more money.
3: See 1.

See where this is going?

If none of the things on that WTD list helped you out, you may consider playing another game.

It looks like you want to be a mission runner to pay for pvp.

I suggest you learn to salvage first. Offer your service to L4 runners.
Make a lot more isk then you would make on your own in the near future.

Take the time to learn what/how/why they do what they do and what ships they use to do it.

Then take your few hundred million and get to becomming one of them. Salvage your own stuff with ease until it becomes faster for you to hire a salvager of your own.

Or just jump to the incursions once you get your BS skill and ship ready.
