It might be just me but I've been trying to update my DB through the api system and frankly it isn't going well. I'm getting a bunch of timeouts and malformed XML.

Is this temporary? A minor recent change that is going to be fixed? A server issue; along with all the other recent server issues? Do you need to reboot the server?

Overall it isn't a huge problem as I can work around it. But it does leave my DB in an uncertain state since it's half updated and half not updated. And it also reinforces to me why I can't simply make this an automated process and cron it because the whole api system isn't all that reliable as a back-end process.

Just leave a note please when it's fixed. Thanks.

Stuff like this happens often, you should set up your code to recover properly and resume later when the API is back to normal.

Yeah I've done that. But frankly I've personally found it had less utility than just running the script manually primarily due to the default intervals between updates required in the api.

... yeah still not fixed. still getting errors on the wallet transaction calls.

api
.NET
not working
completely hosed
utterly useless
pile o'crap <-- note: not an Irishman

assemble as needed.

Or as Annie of Jita would sing:

The api'll work
Tomorrow
Bet your bottom isk
That tomorrow
There'll be data!

Just thinkin' about
Tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs,
And the sorrow
'Til there's none!

When I'm stuck a day
That's gray,
And lonely,
I just stick out my chin
And Grin,
And Say,
Oh!

The api'll be workin'
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow! Tomorrow!
I love ya Tomorrow!
You're always
An api call
A way!

It's a bit hit and miss atm, but definitely not working as intended.

Got the following error while updating yapeal:
curl_error: Operation too slow. Less than 10 bytes/sec transfered the last 12 seconds

market journal didn't update, the rest was fine this time.

Dude I posted the paraphrased lyrics to "Tomorrow" from Annie. I'm kinda beyond butthurt at this point. :)
