Planetary Interaction Adjustments

I'm sorry if this has been posted already, I did a little searching and didn't find it...

Can we please get a few tweaks to the PI setups?

First: There is almost no point to the storage facilities as the launch pads are twice the size and don't cause problems for fitting space. Can you cut the fitting requirements of the storage facility to like 1/3 of what they are now? They have no ability to launch, and they store half as much. Why do they take such high fitting requirements?

Second: I realize you need to keep some sort of limit on whats being pulled in order to keep from flooding the market, but with PI prices being pushed up it seems like a good time to maybe make some adjustments and allow PI in low sec to be less of a micro managing mini game.. Allow us the room to put enough processors and stuff on the planet to comfortably make it to a t2 item. Yes if you're in null sec then you can likely run your extractors at half capacity and fit more processing and storage on the planet but lets face it. there is far more risk in low sec than null sec and the reward is lower and it's more frustrating. Guys using pi in null are typically doing it in sovereignty space where almost no one is at. those of us in smaller alliances/groups are doing it on planets where we have to worry about every pirate that comes by.

Providing more fitting room on a planet would allow us to make a decent amount of mech parts on a single planet (Idealy) without having a daily click/hauling fest.

Third: Without allowing us to build faster how about just more storage room ability? I could care less if you limited a planet to a maximum of two extractors per planet some other way than with fitting, and then cut the fitting requirements of storage way down. I'd really like to be able to visit the planets less frequently.

I know you're looking for engagements as a result of these, but really by making us go out to planets all the time you're just making it so that the pirates have a better chance to farm industry kills. At least if you allowed a decent amount of storage on planets we could look at putting together a gang once in a while to escort an orca or freighter to empty planets rather than having to run around in blockade runners every four or five days. The engagements would be bigger, the losses more expensive, the guys that want to micro manage still could, and those of us that don't want to, wouldn't have to. As current it's almost stupid to round up a group to protect you while doing PI as the losses to having a ship go down isn't worth risking a fleet or even a few people to.

IDK. I'm frustrated with the time sink involved in PI. I don't mind having to haul it out and risk assets doing so, and having it take several hours when I do it, but I'm tired of it taking an hour or two every other day to do decent PI work.

In the POCO thread in Sci & Ind, they are upping the storage silo to 12k from 5k.

Thanks, I'll go digging for it.

It (storage facilities) has been posted already.

F&I topic for PI 2.0

Assembly Hall's updated version PI 2.1

What has not been posted, is your desire to produce p3/p4 products on networks.

That having been said, if you are using factory planets instead of mining raw materials on your networks, you can already accomplish this. I don't think it's wise to allow players to proliferate p3s/p4s while mining the raws on teh same planet... it will kill PI profits.
