Suggestion: Providing a proper ingame connection to Epic Mission Arcs for new players

I found out today that there are Epic Mission Arcs at lvl 4 agents for each faction and a specific introductory Epic Arc at lvl 1 (Sisters of Eve) that is intended to introduce players with the history of Eve.

I found this randomly on these pages:
http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Your_first_days_in_space
http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Epic_mission_arcs

Now I'm super interested in all this Eve history stuff but I think it would have been a much more satisfactory experience if I had been told about this ingame, like at the end of the tutorials or by a random agent like "Hey, have you ever heared about the Sisters of Eve? They are on Arnon and may have something for you..."

I'm a big fan of Eve but this is something VERY hard to understand for me: why information is NOT blended in the game and why players are suggested to look for youtube sources, wikis, etc. even in the case of content intended for starter players.

PS. I could write in similar vein about "Archeology, COSMOS and the Museum of Arcana", but that is an advanced topic and goes beyond the "starting player experience" discussed here. The issue is the same though, that either you bump upon these some way, or they sit there in the game without you ever learning about it.

I am pretty sure that one of either the tutorial missions or the career agents recommends Sister Alitura as the next step. Or she contacts you after you do one of the above. I don't quite remember. Or, at least it used to be that way back when I was starting out.

I am also certain i've seen the "go see sister such and such," message too. So at least the SoE arc is being advertised. The other epic arcs OTOH are not, but they're far from newbie friendly anyway. If those arcs do become more widely advertised to newer players, they should probably come with a warning label. Blink

Yup they do send you to her, you just blazed over the text too fast...

Seems that the link to the Sisters arc was lost when they changed the New Player Experience. I started a new character when I returned to EVE recently and noticed that I was not directed to the Sisters when I completed the tutorial missions as I was on my original character. I already knew about it and where to go, but I guess not many new players would have my prior experience to aid them.

EDIT: It may have been buried in one of the final mission texts, but I'm pretty sure I didn't see it. Even when I skim the mission texts any yellow hyperlinks such as they use for agents and systems of interest to the mission generally jump out at me.

Perhaps Aura could make another appearance once the tutorials are complete and direct you to Sister Alitura, just to make sure that the arc comes to the attention of a new player

Each Career Agent used to mention Sister Alitura after you finished all missions to that agent, I don't know if they still do.
