Then again, when you think about it, maybe thats a good thing. After hundreds of thousands of dollars invested in the LAST forum change they just made junk product with security holes. honestly i just can't figure out why people who apparently hate ccp and eve so much keep paying to play this game

also, why does abby get away with dressing like some pretend vampire every day? i mean come on, everyone else wears a suit, except ziva/kate who are female but they dress conservatively also. it's a navy outfit, and you're telling me they don't have a dress code that prohibits plaid miniskirts and halter tops? get real. no way.

Most of us can fly shiny faction ships. I own quite a few, including a Nightmare. So much for this theory among the unwashed heathens that we're jealous of the money. Hell, I can make more isk/hour than the best highsec incursioners...but I do it through a mix of wormhole exploration, piracy, and market manipulation. You know, activities which involve real risk.

Also, I have a monocle and your arguments are rendered null by its awesomeness.

so basically what you're saying is, you're not doing this out of some sort of ill-planned scheme to force ccp to rethink incursions, you're doing this because you eat tears. that's fine, i can deal with that. my comment wasn't addressed to you

The poor saps your fleet of fake logis let be slaughtered by the inc rats are not generally from the incursions network, so they have no one with whom to share their killmails. They are just ppl who come along and don't yet know enough about incursions to seek a fleet in any other place than the worst place possible, CCP incursion network. Being blacklisted from the incursion network places of communication only leaves you a limited place from which to recruit, not your victims, but the victims of the weps of the incursion rats who do your ganking for you - making you barely even a simple ganker, once removed and STILL with issues.

And that vid - pitiful... if the producer of that submitted that as a piece of work for a grade at the community college's remedial videographic workshop held in the back of "Clyde's Classy Computers of Comfort, vid rentals and laundromat" - it would be laughed at for being sad, not funny. And the comments... Is the average age of mental development (which has nothing to do with how many anniversaries of their mother's labor have passed) about 12 or 13? Just barely discovering puberty, but not knowing what to do with it? And yes, many 25 year old bodies contain 12 year old minds so don't use physical age as a defense for the childish behaviors.

You must not have been around the last few times this was covered in C&P.

I am indeed opposed to incursions. As much as I like the idea of encouraging fleet building and the effect it could have on the community, I believe that the current model isn't working. Why?

High-sec incursions don't fit with any previous risk-to-reward model in the game. Nullsec alliances have high-paying PVE content because that content is only available to those alliance who are able to establish safe areas via diplomacy or combat. it's possible to interfere in the isk-making of an alliance simply by being in their territory and intimidating their ratters and miners. The *only* way to interfere in incursion isk-making is through ganking, trickery, and closing the incursion early. If we want to do what CCP promised we could do and influence the universe, that's the only option we have.

It's unsubstantiated at this point, but there's the ever-present concerns of how much isk incursion is putting into the system with no correlating isk sink. I'd like to see a chart of inflation on certain indexes in Eve, showing inflation rates over the years. I don't have the data or expertise to produce one myself, or I already would have. I *suspect* there would be a notable increase starting shortly after the release of Incursion.

I completely support this movement, high sec incursions are steadily growing a play style that is too akin to "World of Wracraft". I play EVE so I don't have to deal with LFG spam. It's just like back in the in WoW with gearscore being the judge of everything even though it tells nothing about their experience, except instead you expect EVERYONE to be flying a billion isk ship to these things. How do you afford the billion isk ships to begin with...incursions, but wait you can't get into the good ones unless you already have the ship. I know not every incursion is like this, but it's getting to that point. Maybe after a bit more griefing, someone will take a step back and realize what's wrong. Even if that happens, I'd still rather pew pew real players Pirate

did you read the csm minutes where csm and ccp agreed that they need to make incursions last longer, scale better from scout to hq, and not die when someone kills some arbitrary npc rat?
