Hello i just started playing Eve and this is my 2nd day and i was wondering which Agent misstions would suit me, best for the Amarr or it just doesn't matter? Im use to playing W.O.W and wanna try something different and its just confusing getting thrown into a big place with no path to follow. What?. I wanna do missions get good stuff and get cool looking ships and i'm lost after the 1st stage/area when you start off with the career agents (5 in total)

Try following the tutorial missions as they will provide you with an overview of some aspects of the game and give you free ships and skillbooks. What you could do once you've finished with them is follow the Sisters of Eve Epic Arc, which is a whole series of missions that lead you through a big story arc and are quite good money for a new player.

Other than that, click on the agents tab in any station, press the Agent Finder button above the list of agents and select level 1 agents and see which ones are close by to start running some missions for, Security division pay the best as they give you kill missions.

Edit: Here's a link with the details of where to find the SoE epic arc mission

Thanks
Do you have any other advice?
such as which is fun/interesting to boring type of missions like mining, and is their like a break down of what each mission involve and like a difficulty rating or is that security status ?

Eve Survival is a very useful site for checking up what combat missions contain as well as the Epic Arcs as well, just find the mission by name and level and have a read up on what sorts of ships you'll find, what sort of damage they do and what you can expect in general.

The Eve Wiki gives you information about the types of agents you can run missions for, but it boils down to Security are the most fun and best paying as they are combat missions, Distribution agents give you courier missions where you carry something from A to B, low rewards generally but often fast and Mining, which speaks for itself. I don't know how they pay as I've never done one of those missions and never will.

Besides just the pay from the mission, you also get Loyalty Points, which you can exchange in the Loyalty Point store for that corporation for goodies that you can use or sell and you can salvage and loot the wrecks of the ships you destroy in missions, which also brings in extra cash.

other question is how do you know you can move on to a lvl 2+ agent is it "standing" when you click on their info?

Civilian stuff is mostly only usable in the tutorials and they're also "crap", don't bother with it in normal missions.

Apart from that; there's a lot more to choosing an NPC corp if you want to do it "right". First of all you need to know that the type of targets you tend to get depends on the area the agent is in, if he's in amarr space you'll mostly get missions against targets that are weak to EM/thermal (laser damage types). So, choosing where to missions very much depends on what race/type ship you want to fly. Some ships/weapon types are very versatile in their damage types, some are not. For instance, you REALLY don't want to use a laser ship while doing missions in Minmatar space. You base your choices on the ships you want to fly.

Generally, combat missions are the best form of dependable income in high sec, easily doable, easy access and can be soloed. Realise that most people being idiots they didn't actually put in effort to figure which NPC corp to use so they just follow the horde, don't don't just buy straight answers (you never should in EVE, it's too complex for simple answers so if someone gives you a definitive answer expect him to be wrong). Things that are important when looking for an NPC corp:

- does that NPC corp have lvl 4 agents in an area of space that suits my damage and tanking types
- does the NPC corp have lvl 4 security agents in 0.5 or 0.6 space while being at least 4 jumps away from low sec
- does the NPC corp have a profitable LP store
- are there more agents than just that best one in the same system or closeby (bonus)

As you can see it's all about lvl 4s, 1-3 are just the road you need to follow before getting there, nothing more. First bit I explained above, second one has to do with the fact that rewards (both isk as LP) depends on the sec status of the system the agent is in, the lower the better. But if you get too close to low sec that agent will have a habit of sending you there, not ideal. the LP store I'll explain below, point 4 has to do with agents sometimes giving you missions you don't like so you can avoid those and simply switch to the next agent, useful but not a necessity.

A big part of mission income is the LP store (something most people don't really bother with), different NPC corps have different things in their LP store and some stuff just sells better than others so it pays to put in effort to figure out what is good and what isn't, this requires a lot of research and effort but it's worth it. For more info on the different LP stores check here.

EVE is a long term game where effort is almost always rewarded, you could just choose the simple way and not bother with making a reasoned decision (easy way out), or you could put in the effort and reap the rewards from that and by doing so you'll also learn a lot more about EVE. If you want a more detailed, specified reply find me online, either convo or mail.

Excellence is not a skill, it's an attitude.

When you do normal missions you get some personal standing with that agent and also some standing with the NPC Corporation that agent belongs to.

Once you have enough standing with that NPC corporation, higher level agents in that NPC corporation becomes available to you. Level 2 at 1.0 standing, level 3 at 3.0 standing and level 4 at 5.0 standing.

You can also train "Connections" skill for quick boost in standings. Training that to level 3 (or 2 if you have already done enough level 1 missions) will make level 2 agents available immediately.

ABOUT FACTION STANDING

After 16 normal missions you get evemail about "important Storyline mission" which you can accept or decline. That will give standing with whole faction (e.g. Amarr) but that will also result you getting some negative standing with its enemy factions. So you decide if it's worth it or not.

If you get enough standing with a faction, all agents in all corporations belonging to that faction will become available to you. e.g. 1.0 standing with Amarr makes all level 2 agents in all Amarr corporations available to you.

However if you get too negative standings with any faction, that will have consequences. At -2.0 standing all level 2 agents or better belonging to that faction will stop talking to you, and at -5.0 you will be attacked if you ever go to area owned by that faction.

Also: when doing normal missions you might be asked to kill ships or structures belonging to other factions. That can also result in negative faction standing, so before accepting mission allways check if it is against Amarr/Caldari/Gallente/Minmatar, and if it is, consider carefully whether you really want to do it. (You can decline one mission per agent every 4 hours without any consequences.)

Civilian salvager, codebreaker and analyzer must be, and can only be, used in the tutorials. Outside the tutorials you need the proper modules.

If you havent already head to Arnon and dock at the sisters of eve station. There you can start the epic arc, if you havent already, this will give you more missions more cash a little bit better standing. Word of warning at certain part the arc will take you all over eve so dont worry if they ask you to travel quite a ways.

My piece of advice to you. Dont fly something your not skilled to fly. It may be so tempting to jump into a Battle cruiser or Battle ship when you have the bare minimum skills to fly it. But success comes from skilling to fly a ship to its maximum potential not minimum.

Train Social and connections to 5 to advance standing gain.

Train Negotiations and Security connections to 5 to increase rewards.
