it is step in the right direction to revive nullsec mining and counter ratting bots in nullsec, but if you want to revive mining in nullsec you need more then this
From my own experience 2 more things need to be solved/changed before if you want people to mine back in nullsec and give those nullsec alliances a reason to encourage to expand their industry

First one is AFK cloaking, we all know as soon the industry index in a system rach lvl 3 someone will notice and a afk cloaker becomes a semi permanent feature in that system killing all atempts to even keep that lvl up , you can try and lure the cloaker into a trap , sometimes works, mostly not or restart in another system and the cycle will restart
While i think AFK cloaking and blockading all industry in a system is a viable tactic it should have its limits
possible solutions might be to limit the time you can be cloaked or a system where you can eventually scan out a cloaker, i prefer the second option where someone with good or near perfect scanning skills can eventually and with some patience can find a cloaked ship

Second thing that needs to change in nullsec are the number of manufacturing and research slot available and improve theirs bonus and the refining bonus of installations in nullsec
the bulk of low end minerals will still come from high sec but nullsec alliances will have greater control over the availibillity and price of high end minerals , i might hate that but i think they will like that
just my thoughts

I do not agree with what you are saying , but i will defend to the death your right to say it...... Voltaire

all NPCs should give bounties.

If moon goo is added to NPCs it should be added to all NPCs - perhaps the 'hauler' spawns could contain moon goo instead of minerals?

logic:

NPCs give bounties = same as rest of eve.

hauler spawns drop moon goo = more 'un-mined' minerals removed plus no single region becomes farmable by the alliance with the biggest SC fleet.

no minerals from NPCs = inflation of mineral prices.

Inflation of mineral prices = more miners and more ISK sink.

questions?

I think in the rush to look at only the cost factor, you should also be looking at the political factor of removing drone goo. I wonder where the rooskies will want to open up shop when Drone regions become worthless.

i'm hoping ccp does this one, i have spent time in droneland made a ton of isk.

i'm hoping they will add a new line of faction goodies pulling more people to the area and thus more pvp chances

i think it would be good not only for miners but also pvper with the removal of the alloys and adding bounties it will no longer be a grind to live there and i hope the area become full of ratters, miners and pvpers

it might also mean thats supers once again become more rare less mins to build them

I agree, and my post was an attempt at sarcasm. As usual, no one ever gets my attempts to be funny.Cry I was just regurgitating what I read on the other forums from people that seem to think mining was an after thought in this game and that it has absolutely no worth or bearing on any outcome of the game. Whether it is null/low or high sec, mining is very much needed in the game imo.

Are they rogue mining drones that have evolved, and, after eons of exploration, are finally fulfilling their instructions to "Gather all minerals; return home to Chribba"?

I understand Concord would place bounties on them in empire space, but out in null-sec? Why would they care?

Maybe that's what mining bots are before they grow up to become Hulks.

That said, rats in null-sec also have bounties, don't they?

LOOK AT HOW PAINFULLY WRONG YOU ARE ABOUT EVE ECONOMICS. LOOK AT YOU. LOOK AT YOU.

You seem to have a problem with your vision, us others however, have not, so I ask you please kindly try using properly the capslock key.
