Hi Everyone,

Thank you for taking the time to read. I am working on a story idea which I would like to keep inside established EVE lore as much as possible. To that end I have some questions I'd be greatful for some insight on, even if its just a link to a relevant page.

Does the Caldari State have any official/unofficial policy regarding escaped Minmatar slaves in its territory?

What are expatriate population levels like across the cluster? I can imagine Gallente cities/stations being very cosmopolitan but what about Caldari Space, how welcome is the stranger?

Given the relative tensions between the empire factions, how free is civilian/ private (non-capsuleer) travel across the cluster.

Capsuleers must still only account for a tiny fraction of the total shipping traffic in empire space. There must be countless vessels both government and privately owned plying their way across the stars on all manner of business. Since the effects of warp travel are said to be deeply unpleasant for the average human, how is this problem circumvented/mitigated to allow the kind of empires and economies present to flourish.

That’s it for now but no doubt I will have more, thanks again for your time.

Well, the Caldari are described as generally xenophobic so we cannot expect them to be very open minded to foreigners squatting about. Though, the Caldari respect/tolerate people that work and do their job well, so foreigners better have one of those before settling in the State. Also because there are no social security in the State besides that provided by the mega corporations. So while an uneducated poor refugee would have a very hard time getting accepted in Caldari society, bordering to the impossible, a well established entrepreneur with money at hand would be more than welcome.

The common Caldari worker likely rarely go on longer journeys unless it is for the benefit of his corporation. I wonder if the Caldari even have a word for vacation.

Warp travel, hm... people can get used to a lot of things even if they are unpleasant. Otherwise you take pills and sleep it out.

Thanks for your reply :) That certainly fits with how I envisage the state too.

I don't think the Caldari are that unwelcoming to undocumented refugees (i.e. dirt cheap labor). I remember Jita 4-4 talking about a lot of homeless Minmatar wandering around the station. I'd bet the Caldari government turns a blind eye to their presence so long as they don't cause a ruckus. The state wouldn't exactly "welcome" refugees, but they're probably tolerated as a source of menial labor, since the bottom line is the one thing they really care about.

Yes this is the sort of angle I am looking at for one of my characters, thanks for the input :)

It is a open questionSad only what I can say is that in the new novel is mention that the Ishukone Corp has around 300 millions employed.

Its a good question, I actually dont known. Sad About traffic, I think it was mention in the News, that the traffic of non capsulleer ships are actually very high, but if I remember right it doesnt gave a exact number. About all manner yes^^ even the sisters are giving assistens for former slaves etc.. or former Agents are traffeling around (Burning life). So like you already said, "plying their way across the stars on all manner of business." But count on that, it isnt a cheap business not just the traffeling alone, export is a very capital intensiv business and even more if you are in export of capital-intensive goods like for example germany. If I remember right, the old Caldari or Amarr discription mention, that the State sells weapons to the Empire (but I dont know if it is still PF).

I would love to have those classes ingame. See here:
