Issues, Workarounds & Localization

EDIT: 1 and 3 seem to have a been an issue with the shortcut. Not exactly sure how (I believe it was the one created on my desktop) but the shortcut I was using to launch eve was launching safe mode. Replacing the shortcut with one to the standard exe seems to have resolved the issue.

Really hoping for a response with solutions or work arounds for these issues. TIA!


Not sure where to put these so here we go.

1. Every time I log in (fresh install) i get a "Client Update Available" notification but my client is already up to date. I have to close this window twice just to log in...

2. All my characters (i have 3 accounts with multiple characters per account that i use) have to go through the character customization AGAIN. Most of these were updated when the character customization first came out. WTF is the opt-out or 'do this later" button? Why do I have to re-do all my characters to begin with?

3. Every time I relog my graphics settings reset to eye bleedingly poor settings.

4. On their first log in they all load into "Captains quarters" which takes forever.


I just want to point out that this is the most tedious UX I've had starting or returning to any mmo, and it's all front loaded in the first moments of launch the game. Quite a barrier to entry.

Anyone have any solutions to the issues above? Obviously I opt out of the captains quarters as soon as I can but 1-3 are probably bugs.
