This thread is not appropriate to your interests. I would appreciate it if you took your diatribes elsewhere.

To the point at hand:

A memorial service was recently held for Professor Alain Octirant, and while it was a muted affair, I think it's clear that the late chairman would have found the event most satisfactory. I thank those who were able to attend.

Professor Octirant could be a difficult man. But he was a great servant of the Federation, one who gave his life for the ideals he had fought for since his early career as a marine. As a military man, myself, I honour that kind of sacrifice.

With his passing, it is now time for us to focus on the big issues facing the FCO.
