I am a returning player. My character has about 20 million skill points, but even though I have a lot of skill points I do not have a lot of game experience.

Most of the time I as subscribed I just ran mission up to lvl 3 and or just trained skill and didn't even play. I always lacked direction.

So I am seeking direction. Also things have changed a lot since i last played, so my game info is dated also.

What are my options for pve aside from missions? I think pve for now till i get used to the game again. Are there any end game type goals to look forward, or more difficult pve experiences I can look forward to?

I recommend you try piracy. You've gotta spend all the isk you make on somethng right?

Spend a little extra time with the character creator, or the mirror in Captain's Quarters. That we have the body is the real novelty and promises more physical stuff at last. And check out Planetary Interaction.

Don't be a pirate unless you know you'll enjoy making people genuinely annoyed or sad.

Ratting in a titan is the end game for PVE. lol.

On a more practical note.... Perhaps you should try finding a wormhole corp or 0.0 alliance to join. Both would be able to bring you up to speed on mechanics and help you advance.

As someone has said before piracy is always fun.

But unless you're willing to get out of high sec and lvl 4's i would suggest the former. Find a corp in 0.0 or wormhole and they'll help you progress with your pve skills.

Good luck and hope to see you in the stars.

This is a complete misrepresentation of people like me. Most of the interactions with customers I run into end with both of us saying good fight in local and thanking each other.

What about being a nice pirate who allways reimburses all losses and then gives some extra also Big smile

If you get "genuinely annoyed or sad" because you lost an internet spaceship then you need to get outside more.

OP: Join a corp that does something you find interesting. Pretty much no matter what you do, it's better with friends.

I'd say watching days or even weeks of work go up in smoke is something worth getting legitimately bummed out over.

Not everyone has the funds to go through ships like party poppers.

I don't always use hax. But when I do, it's because I'm an NPC.. http://i.imgur.com/PUZou.jpg

I have to disagree with this. Personally im an anti pirate, but i have known several pirates in my time of EVE and many of them i consider friends. Just because you choose to be a "griefer" it dosent make you a bad person, and most people know this.

Its a part of the game, and many enjoy this playstyle. But dont think that being a pirate means that you as a person will be universally hated. Ofc this also depends a lot on how you as a person act. If you make it a point to smack talk and laugh at noobs that have no idea what they are doing, ofc its going to make you look bad. But if you show respect towards people who show respect towards you, generally people wont care what you do.

This goes for all professions in EVE. If you act like an ass,you can be sure that someone is going to smack you for it,weather or not its your own corp members,or just that random person you smack talked in local who happens to have a lot of ISK and knows a few mercs Lol

Now for the op,and what you can do/look forward to. There is so much to do in EVE. If you are looking at PVE only i can think about incursions,0.0 ratting, sleepers, complexes, missions and im sure im missing some in there.

But remember this is just one small part of EVE. After a while you will want to try other things, like PVP or industry. If you look for a 0.0 or a WH corp you will most likely end up getting involved in PVP in some way or form. And even if you go with a small empire corp you will find your self in a war at one point or another.

Can you still avoid PVP? Yes you can. But remember when it comes down to it,such a big part of EVE evolves around PVP so its almost natural that you get involved in it.

I wish you the best of luck and welcome back Smile

Just because you shoot someone in the face doesn't mean you have to be an ass about it. You can be a pirate, high sec wardeccer or even a suicider just fine without being a ****.

Welcome back to Eve.

Probably a good idea to run through the Tutorial and complete all the Career Agent missions as a refresher course on Eve.

As for PvE, there's lot's of other options besides running basic missions such as Cosmos, Epic Arcs, Exploration, etc.

Evelopedia has lot's of info and Guides.
